Offense

This week we welcome in new addition Zach Ertz which allows us to play a bit more balanced of an offense vs a solid Raleigh defense

We feel that the weakness of the Raleigh defense is right up the middle with the DT and LB struggling this season, especially against the the run. Luckily we feel that we have BDLs best guard tandem which will open some holes for Swift and Harris.  These guys will see about a 60-40 time split mirroring what Detroit is doing in real life life's with swift right now.  Expect a lot of of the inside zone and power o's with CJ Uzomah playing some FB in a traditional power I look.  We will occasionally run a pitch when we see the defense gunning to stops the inside and try to to break a big gain.   Taysom Hill will also have some packages this week with three TE to further run and tire out this defense.

In the passing game we have a couple main targets. We are going to welcome in Ertz peppering him with looks when he's lined up on CJ Mosley side and we also are going to line up Waddle on Peters side as he lit Marcus up like a Christmas tree back in week two.  The running backs are also both competent receivers if they get matched up with a LB.  We'll also have institute some five wide in the passing game as Raleigh hasn't been bringing a fifth corner with them lately

Defense

This week we aren't exactly sure what the Raleigh offense will be as Andrews is doubtful and they just traded away their best weapon in Davante Adams

We are going to key in on Christian McCaffery this week and aim to stop what is likely to be a highly RPO based offense.  The biggest worry we run into with cmc is in the passing game so we are going to assign DJ Reed to McCaffery regardless of Raleigh formation this week.  We have two fat guy run stuffers up the middle, excellent edges and a great lb duo.  This will allow us to try to eliminate cmc in the passing game as he will generally abuse lb and s in coverage but a top CB, that's a different story.

On the outside, neither Bobby trees or Jarvis Landry or whoever Pete throws out there scare us so we are going to play tight press coverage on the outside with Humphrey and Dean. If they go three wide, we'll take off Hamilton for Carter and assign him the slot   In two TE Milano has Tonyan, Hamilton gets the other TE as Baltimore is finally using him in the tight end eraser role we envisioned while Bolton is our QB Spy.  Cisco is the deep man

We have closely watched Jerry Hughes tape and both our vet DE know how to beat Mailata   Regardless Houston has more sacks than games played and Judon leads the league in that category so we feel we can bring the pressure from the outside and keep Murray bottled up. Hamilton is in the box as a defacto third LB this week to help against the running game as well.  We don't want to blitz often as we like our coversge talent to wipe out the opposing WR and allow our dline to get home. Autry will take a seat to Washington on early downs while Lawson and Davenport get snaps as well in the edge rotation. In long down and distances Davenport and Autry will be the interior rushers.  We'll mix in a press cover three now and then and a zone blitz occasionally too but this will be basic man one qb spy defense majority
