In related news, former NFL quarterback Don Majkowski was not mauled by an escaped circus lion during a visit to his local gas station.

We will provide further details on this developing story as they become available.

Incidentally, aaron rodgers and several other packers were mauled by lions earlier this year

Some lightning-strike recovery group has issued a statement condemning Drew Brees' participation in the PointsBet commercial stunt that inspired this thread.

Lightning Strike Survivors Group Not Happy With Drew Brees (msn.com)

“The recent Drew Brees lightning commercial is an inappropriate, disgusting method of promoting gambling or any TV commercial campaign,” the group said in a statement. “This is a deadly injury, and it is disappointing to see the continual ridicule of lightning and electrical injury survivors in comical light in which it is presented for commercial gain and profit.”

The organization claims Brees' advertisement with PointsBet "just set us back 20 years."

Brees hasn't really addressed the backlash yet.

(I wish this was a joke, but it's not the 2020s unless someone somewhere is mortally offended by something totally irrelevant that harmed no one. Most of us, such as myself, reserve our offended reactions for things that are relevant and do cause harm to other people. Unfortunately, you can't mandate common sense.)
