He eats up so much space so quickly. The db was covering ghosts - the way he turns around and sees Addison 20 yards the opposite direction 😳

I can't wait for 2023 season. DBs are not going to be able to bracket JJ consistently.

That's the one major plus I see to the drafting of Addison is that, with his route-running being similar to JJ, they can disguise a lot of their routes, which can confuse the hell out of the defense.
JDBrocks
Ya know who might benefit again - Osborn. I would not be surprised to see defenses adapt to covering Addison and Jefferson that in 11 personnel Osborn naturally finds himself running free.

I feel infinitely better about the current and future state of the Vikings WR Corps now, then I did prior to Thursday night.

If healthy, this personnel grouping should prove difficult to stop. Edited May 2, 2023 by VikeManDan

I made it fairly clear that I've never been all that concerned about the WR corps. Addison certainly strengthens it, but even if he were not there, it would still be infinitely better than the 2012 Vikings WR corps of Michael Jenkins, Jerome Simpson, Jarius Wright, Devin Aromashodu and Stephen Burton. That's just the worst example, but I could make the argument that it's not that far off from Zimmer's 2nd year with rookie Diggs, Cordarrelle, Wallace, Wright, Johnson and at the time a very young Thielen. I do like the potential of Osborn (it seems like that the further into the offseason we go, the less and less people seem to think of him), Nailor and even Reagor (if he gets his head on straight, he could be a Cordarrelle type)

vike daddy
NFL Rookie Watch@NFLRookieWatxh Jordan Addison said in a recent interview that him and Justin Jefferson will “instantly” be the best WR duo in the NFL. Vikings HC Kevin O’Connell said in a recent interview that Jefferson and Addison being in the same huddle is going to be a “problem” for the rest of the league. Addison said that he “models” his game after Stefon Diggs and plans to be a “route-running artist”, similar to Diggs.
SteelKing728
I wonder if Addison has his own celebratory touchdown dance. I didn't notice anything in particular at Pitt. Everyone will do the griddy. Its been that way for 3 years now, but I'm curious if Addison will switch it up.
swede700
I think it's fine when people have their own unique celebrations, or even some of the choreographed team ones, but I'm over celebrations in general. I don't generally find them offensive (although I do certainly prefer the Barry Sanders celebration method)...I just don't really care.
