Lions with the highest drop rate in the NFL. Something to improve upon for sure and has been an issue with our WRs before Jamo returned which is why I said we need help behind ARSB.

I had not heard that. Definitely something to improve upon and the offense has already been pretty solid despite.

Well with him in the fold it can only get worse if they are not working on this.  I honestly thought watching KC they were 10 times worse so this is a bit of shock

I think our drop rate is between 6%-7% but I can't find a reference.  At this point, it seems like we are inventing things to complain about.  Seems like a bit of a nothing-burger at this point.

Definitely unexpected. I would have thought the Ravens led by a comfortable margin after last week's 8 drops.

So pointing out they have a lot of dropped passes is inventing something because it does not fit the positive only posting allowed here?

This is exactly what I am talking about.  You talk down any post that brings anything to this forum that is not positive.  People should be allowed to point out flaws without being told they are "inventing things"

Our drop rate is 8.3% with 10 drops. It's the 4th highest (min. 50% of 236 dropbacks)

  2. Lamar - 9.1% (10)
  3. Cousins - 8.7 (13)
  4. Goff - 8.3 (10)
  5. Lawrence - 8.3 (11)
  6. Tannehill - 8.2 (8)
  7. Love - 8.1 (8)
  8. Z Wilson - 8.1 (8)
  9. Stafford - 8.1 (11)

The difference between being #4 where the Lions are at and #10 is one dropped pass.

LIONS WR'S DROPS

  • Jamo - 33.3% (1)
  • Marvin - 20.0% (1)
  • Montgomery - 16.7% (1)
  • Gibbs - 12.5% (2)
  • Reynolds - 11.1% (2)
  • LaPorta - 7.4% (2)
  • ARSB - 3.7% (1)

Gibbs is a concern because he is not a RB in the true sense and he was brought in as a passing down type back.

He is trying to do too much and look ahead on the play versus doing a better job securing the ball.

14 catches for 70 yards is gross.  He needs to relax a bit and just let his ability take over versus pressing so hard.
