J-ALL-DAY
Said it in real time and I'll say it again....Some of Purdy's best ball came in those two games. You CANNOT ignore the TOs at the end and that was a big part of why the team lost but man this dude was making so many plays with a nonexistent OL. If you made a list of his top 10 throws, at least three to four of them come from these two games. This was the most promising thing regarding his future when the talent level starts to dip. The OL just needs to be decent and he will be able navigate through it just fine.

And this was without Deebo and Aiyuk was dropping all of the like two deep ball drops he had all year, so Purdy was dealing to Jauan Jennings and Ronnie Bell more than usual. The turnovers were really bad - he was dealing plenty enough in the Bengals game to keep up if he didn't turn the ball over and the defense finally gave him a chance to win it in the Vikings game. We also do know now that the Vikings defense had turned the corner and Brocks day came against a legit defense with no offensive line whatsoever. That's a lot to say that I've only been disappointed in Brock once all season.

That's a lot to say that I've only been disappointed in Brock once all season. Agreed, the Browns game was the only one where he seemed overwhelmed and could not get it going. All this talk of him not being able to play well without Deebo is hilarious. It is true that this OL is built pretty much through Williams so when he does not play, it is a problem not only in pass protection but also in the run game. CMC was playing against the Vikings/Bengals and barely averaged 4 YPC while he averages like 5.4 YPC with Williams in the line up. Deebo would have helped mitigate the Williams loss some by making the opposing defenses hesitate just enough when he would go in motion but it was hard playing without both those guys. I mean last year the team played some games without Deebo and were still putting up 30+ points. All this to say we REALLY need to get Williams replacement in the draft this year and have a decent OL for when he retires. That's all someone like Purdy needs to be successful. Forge
Shockingly, Steven Ruiz did not pick Brock Purdy as his MVP lol. Didn't have him in the top 3 (Allen, Lamar, Dak). Nora Princiotti also didn't have Purdy in her top 3, and that's notable because she is an MVP voter. Emmanuel Acho is also a known MVP voter I'm pretty sure and has said that he can't really consider Purdy for MVP. Nora had CMC on the MVP ballot rather than Purdy, as did Ruiz (#4)

I had this conversation with someone in Gen who said they were more worried about the offense during that losing streak. I absolutely didn't understand that. Offense still moved the ball well besides in Cleveland. The offense also hasn't exhibited turnover issues under Purdy since taking over last year so there was never a reason to believe that the turnovers were anything more than an outlier. He wasn't going to keep throwing INTs at 5% clip.

Well, if it is not purdy, then it is one of lamar, allen, or Dak

Acho has said his vote, if the season ended this week, would go to Purdy.
49erurtaza
Purdy needs to have a huge game and a win vs the Ravens to actually have a chance with MVP voters.

typecast
Acho was on the "I'm voting Hurts even if they get beat by Dallas" train. Then Dallas beat the Eagles and he hopped on the "Dak is MVP" train. He hopped off of that and is now on the "I'm done with the narrative of QBs, from now on my perspective is going to be 'what are you doing right now' 'Brock Purdy isn't just a good QB, he is a great QB' train.

There are offseason conversations to be had regarding the type of players and team we can surround Purdy with, but I will save those for the offseason.
