It was crap turf as most turf is, but in no way did it actually affect the outcome of the game. Losing the AFC/NFC Championship has to suck nearly as bad as losing the SB for the players, and if you interview them right after losing a game of that magnitude you are going to get some emotional sour grapes answers.
