Got lucky all the way around on those last couple of plays.

Honestly if cooks doesn't drop his shoulder and then push off I think Lee steps in front and makes that pick. So as much as raiders hated that call it was right call and could have easily been pick city.

Oh I agree. We just haven't been getting those calls this year that's all.

Morris seems suddenly slow.

He isnt playing slow, he hasnt had the proper lanes. He has to shift and stutter to find the lane, and that isnt his forte. Morris needs a clear straight ahead zone block read, when its.taken away or doesnt develop quickly the play is finished for him.

The Raiders are playing tons of cover 2 zone, and this offense lacks the speed to attack the zone gaps. Beasley on the adjusted option routes hes known for has to become a factor quickly in the second half, as hes the only receiver with the short area quickness to attack the gaps fast. Or...maybe it will be Switzers first real time to shine?

If Zeke were available, im.betting the wheel route from the backfield would have already burned Oakland twice.

Exactly, Raiders DL stepped it up on that last drive...   they were getting penetration.

Even worse than penetration, they are taking away the inside and outside shoulders of the OTs, the key to defending the zone block. The isolation run will work usually in this instance, but Morris is not known for that running style. Smith will be more effective there, and if that gets going, the zone will open back uo.
