Best horror is probably Fire in the Sky. 1982. ET, Poltergeist, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, The Thing... Really, though... Being realistic, no matter how good The Thing was, no year tops 1993. 1993 is the best year for movies. Ever. Of 28 perfect movies, 4 came from 1993. Falling Down, Last Action Hero, Jurassic Park and Tombstone. Only one other year has multiple perfect movies. 1999 had The Mummy and The Matrix.
