Mixon out performs "Quality Starters" Pacheco and Swift without injuries happening to any of them!

No, no he doesn't.

Both players crush Mixon on yards per carry which is what matters most.  Plus, you can't watch the games and say Mixon has been more effective than either of those guys.  And all three guys have played 30 or 31 games over the last two years.

Fellas fellas.....Jaylen Warren outperforms them all with his unmatched evasiveness.

Skeletor will be back with more disturbing facts.

INT

  1. New Orleans

Franchise Cornerstone: Javon Hargrave, Jeffrey Simmons

Quality Starter: Arik Armstead

Incomplete Evaluation: Byron Murphy II, Brandon Dorlus

Total Points: 19pts

A three way tie in points at the top, I give the #1 spot to NO for having 2 cornerstones and the better 3rd DT. The fact that they have the best DT in the draft waiting in the wings is also impressive.

  1. Berlin

Franchise Cornerstone- Derrick Brown, Quinnen Williams+

Competitive Starter: Da’Von Hamilton

Quality Depth: Mazi Smith, Saki Ika

Replacement Level: Kurt Hinish

Total Points: 19pts

As a duo, Williams and Brown I think are better than Hargrave and Simmons, but I like NO’s 3rd DT and potential behind them better.

  1. Akureyri

Franchise Cornerstone: Dexter Lawerence+

Quality Starter: DJ Reader+, Grady Jarrett

Competitive Starter: Khalen Saunders

Incomplete Evaluation: Michael Hall, Leonard Taylor

Total Points: 19pts

A very impressive top 3 and a nice player at the 3rd spot put Akureyri in the mix with the best in the league.

  1. CWM

Franchise Cornerstone: Christian Wilkins, Chris Jones+

Incomplete Evaluation: Cameron Young

Replacement Level: Perrion Winfrey

Total Points: 15pts

This might be the best starting duo in the league but there is nothing of note behind them, keeping CWM a bit behind the top group.

  1. Lancaster

Franchise Cornerstone: Kenny Clark, Justin Madubuike

Quality Depth: Zaach Pickens

Incomplete Evaluation: Ade Adebawore

Replacement Level: TJ Slayton, Ottio Ogbonnia, Eyioma Uwazurike

Total Points: 15pts

Lancaster is in the same boat as CWM with a great duo but very little depth behind them.

  1. Anchorage

Franchise Cornerstone: Vita Vea

Quality Starter: Ed Oliver

Competitive Starter: Jordan Davis, Dante Stills

Replacement Level- Bobby Brown III

Total Points: 15pts

Oliver is finally starting to live up to his draft potential and Vea is a excellent foundational piece. Jordan Davis has been a bit disappointing to start his career. If he takes a leap, this group could be closer to the top group.

  1. Raleigh

Quality Starter; Jalen Carter, Alim McNeill, Kobie Turner

Competitive Starter: BJ Hill

Incomplete Evaluation: Moro Ojomo

Total Points: 14pts

Raleigh sports a trio of exciting young DT’s which in a few years could put them on the top of this list, but for now keeps them in the middle of the pack.

  1. Ivory Coast

Quality Starter: DaRon Payne+, Christian Barmore+

Competitive Starter: Davonte Wyatt

Incomplete Evaluation: Keondre Coburn, Jaquelin Roy

Total Points: 12pts

Payne and Barmore are fringe cornerstones and Wyatt is starting to develop into a really quality player as well to make for a very formidable crew.

  1. Svalbard

Quality Starter: Cameron Heyward, Zach Allen

Competitive Starter: Keanu Benton, Milton Williams

Total Points: 12pts

A really nice four man rotation but no elite players now that Heyward is hanging on to the end of his career.

  1. Cancun

Franchise Cornerstone: Jonathan Allen

Competitive Starter: Travis Jones

Quality Depth: Justin Jones

Incomplete Evaluation: Maason Smith, Zach Carter

Total Points: 10pts

Travis Jones is developing into a nice running mate for Allen, but some more depth is probably needed for this group.

  1. Hungary

Quality Starter: David Onyemata

Competitive Starter:, Calijah Kancey, Jaaran Reed

Quality Depth: Javon Kinlaw

Incomplete Evaluation: Justin Eboigbe

Total Points: 10pts

Kancey showed some flashes year one and Onyemata is a nice player but this overall group lacks the top end talent needed to complete with the groups in the top 10.

  1. Greenland

Franchise Cornerstone: DeForest Buckner

Competitive Starter: Gervon Dexter

Incomplete Evaluation: Bryan Bresee, Ruke Ohohorhoro

Replacement Level: Phadarian Mathis, Matthew Butler

Total Points: 9pts

Buckner is doing most of the heavy lifting in the group. Greenland needs to add more depth behind him or have those young players step up.

  1. Cuba

Quality Starter:  Zach Seiler

Competitive Starter: Maliek Collins, DJ Jones

Quality Depth: Karl Brooks

Incomplete Evaluation: Dewayne Carter, McKinnley Jackson

Total Points: 9pts

Cuba has a nice little compliment of decent players but this isn’t really a group to fear.

  1. Las Vegas

Quality Starter: Leonard Williams

Quality Depth: Larry Ogunjobi

Incomplete Evaluation: Braden Fiske, Jer’Zhan Newton

Total Points: 5pts

Vegas invested in this group in the draft, so they’ll need those players to be significant contributors as rookies to out perform this ranking.

  1. Quebec

Quality Starter: Osi Odighizuwa

Quality Depth: A’Shawn Robinson

Replacement Level: Neil Ferrell, Jordan Riley

Total Points: 5pts

Quebec should target adding to this group in the tank because they seem pretty thin.

  1. Rome

Competitive Starter; Shelby Harris

Quality Depth: Andrew Billings, Logan Hall

Incomplete Evaluation: Kris Jenkins, T’Vondre Sweat

Total Points: 4pts

Rome, like Vegas, invested in this group in the draft, so they’ll need those players to produce or have some decent Tank investments to get out of the basement.

Up Next: LB and S

(going to get two in between today and tomorrow to finish up Friday)

Um I have five INTs thank you. JFM hasn't been an Edge in like 3-4 years.

That's a good catch. He was listed as a EDGE but I knew you weren't using him at EDGE and then I forgot to add him to your DT list.

I'd rate him a competitive starter giving you 2 more points and hopping you over IC for #8

LB

  1. Greenland

Franchise Cornerstone: Roquan Smith+

Quality Starter: TJ Edwards

Competitive Starter: Devin Lloyd+, Jack Campbell+

Incomplete Evaluation: Drew Sanders

Total Points: 18pts

The best group by far in BDL. An elite cornerstone and 3 very good players behind him

  1. New Orleans

Quality Starter: Matt Milano+, CJ Mosley+

Competitive Starter: Josey Jewell

Quality Depth: Anthony Walker Jr

Incomplete Evaluation: Demarvion Overshown, Daiyan Henley, Trevin Wallace, Marist Liufau

Total Points: 13pts

New Orleans reaching into their pockets for Milano and Mosley gives them a strong duo with a couple nice couple pieces behind them.

  1. Hungary

Franchise Cornerstone: Logan Wilson

Competitive Starter: Shaq Thompson, Ivan Pace, Nathan Landman

Total Points: 13pts

A cornerstone with 3 nice depth pieces behind them puts Hungary in the 3rd spot.

  1. Lancaster

Franchise Cornerstone: Fred Warner+

Competitive Starter: Willie Gay Jr

Quality Depth: Malcolm Rodriquez

Incomplete Evaluation: Junior Colston

Replacement Level: Mark Robinson, Channing Tindall

Total Points: 11pts

Lancaster is lead by the league’s best LB and enough startable players to compliment him.

  1. Cuba

Quality Starter: Bobby Okereke

Competitive Starter: Jahlani Tavai, Andrew Van Ginkel+

Quality Depth: Dorian Williams, Henry To’oto’o

Incomplete Evaluation: Jeremiah Trottier Jr

Total Points: 11pts

Nice depth all around but no elite players puts Cuba on the fringe of the top 5.

  1. Anchorage

Quality Starter: Jeremiah Owusa Koramoah

Competitive Starter: Devin White, David Long

Quality Depth: Micah McFadden, Owen Pappoe

Total Points: 10pts

Another group with a really healthy floor but lacking elite talent.

  1. Raleigh

Quality Starter: Quincy Williams+

Competitive Starter: Quay Walker

Quality Depth: Tyrel Dodson, Jack Sanborn

Replacement Level: Christian Elliss

Total Points: 9pts

Quincy Williams headlines this group that could use one more piece to really be competitive with the top teams.

  1. Svalbard

Quality Starter: Kaden Elliss

Competitive Starter: Blake Cashman

Quality Depth: Zach Baun, Isaiah Simmons, Mack Wilson

Total Points: 9pts

A nice group that will be complimentary piece to a defense, but no real impact players here.

  1. Akureyri

Quality Starter: Patrick Queen

Competitive Starter: Damone Clark, Azeez Al Shaair

Incomplete Evaluation: Cedric Gray, Ty’Ron Hopper

Total Points: 8pts

Queen highlights this group and Clark and Al Shaair complete a nice starting trio. Some experience depth would be nice.

  1. Berlin

Competitive Starter: Jordyn Brooks+, Kyzir White, Terrell Bernard

Quality Depth: Chad Muma

Incomplete Evaluation: Tyrice Knight

Total Points: 8pts

A formidable trio of competitive starters but nothing overly special about this group.

  1. Rome

Quality Starter: Nick Bolton

Competitive Starter: Eric Kendricks+

Incomplete Evaluation: Trenton Simpson

Total Points: 7pts

Bolton and Kendricks is a strong duo but no experienced depth behind them.

  1. Cancun

Quality Starter: Ernest Jones

Competitive Starter: Pete Werner

Quality Depth: KJ Britt

Incomplete Evaluation: Noah Sewell, Mohamoud Diabate

Replacement Level: Isisah McDuffie, SirVocea Dennis, Brandon Smith

Total Points: 7pts

Jones and Werner are a perfectly cromulent duo. The other players are certainly……there.

  1. Quebec

Quality Starter: Lavonte David

Quality Depth: Nakobe Dean, Jack Gibbens, Divine Diablo

Replacement Level: Troy Andersen

Total Points: 7pts

David is the grandpa in the room for the rest of the depth players. Quebec getting ahead of a few teams here and pure volume alone.

  1. Ivory Coast

Quality Starter: Bobby Wagner, Jordan Hicks

Quality Depth: Marpe Matu

Incomplete Evaluation: Edgerrin Cooper

Total Points: 5pts

A couple former stud LB’s past their prime paired with a couple young players with much to prove.

  1. CWM

Competitive Starter: Germaine Pratt, Christian Harris

Quality Depth; Jamin Davis

Replacement Level: Brian Asamoah

Total Points: 5pts

Pratt and Harris are good players that have had strong moments in the NFL but need a little more consistency. Davis has been a pretty big disappointment so far.

  1. Las Vegas

Competitive Starter: Robert Spillane

Quality Depth: Leo Chanel, Cody Barton

Incomplete Evaluation: Peyton Wilson

Total Points: 4pts

This group needs to add some talent in the tank to avoid being the target of game plans all season.

Next up: CB

(with getting 2 in today. I'll do CB's tomorrow and then S with the overall D and team rankings Friday)

CB

  1. Anchorage

Franchise Cornerstone: Sauce Gardner+, Patrick Surtain II+

Quality Starter: Derek Stingley Jr

Competitive Starter: Paulson Adebo

Incomplete Evaluation: Christian Gonzalez

Total Points: 21pts

Shut up Scoundrel

  1. Rome

Franchise Cornerstone: Marlon Humphrey

Quality Starter: DJ Reed, DaRon Bland+

Competitive Starter: Jamel Dean, Ja’Quan McMillian

Incomplete Evaluation: Max Melton

Replacement Level: Jayln Armour-Davis

Total Points: 20pts

A very deep and diverse group that should help Rome control some of the best WR corps in the league.

  1. Akureyri

Franchise Cornerstone: Jaire Alexander, Trent McDuffie

Competitive Starter: Kyler Gordon

Quality Depth; Nate Hobbs, Clark Phillips, Jaylon Jones, Garrett Williams

Incomplete Evaluation: Dax Hill

Total Points: 20pts

Akureyri made the big move to acquire Jaire to go along with Trent McDuffie. They also have lots of nice young depth with upward mobility.

  1. Svalbard

Franchise Cornerstone: Jaylon Johnson

Quality Starter: Charvarius Ward+, Brian Branch

Quality Depth: Isaiah Oliver

Incomplete Evaluation: Ennis Rakestraw, Khris Abrams Draine, Nemamiah Pritchett

Replacement Level: Shaun Wade

Total Points: 17pts

Svalbard traded for Jaylon Johnson at the deadline last year to give this team a really strong starting 3. They are relying on a lot of youth after that, so they should really hope for health.

  1. Ivory Coast

Franchise Cornerstone: Trevon Diggs

Quality Starter: AJ Terrell+, Greg Newsome

Incomplete Evaluation: Kamari Lassiter

Replacement Level: Sam Womack

Total Points: 16pts

IC has a very similar story as Svalbard with Diggs returning from injury. A very strong top 3 with depth questions after that.

  1. Cuba

Franchise Cornerstone: Denzel Ward

Quality Starter: Martin Emerson

Competitive Starter: Alontae Taylor

Quality Depth: Kader Kohu, Joshua Williams, Levi Wallace

Incomplete Evaluation: Keele Ringo, Renardo Green, Jarrian Jones

Total Points: 16pts

Ward leads a pretty deep group, but I am a bigger fan of IC’s top end talent which keeps Cuba behind them. Ringo is a nice wild card to this group to make it even potentially better.

  1. Raleigh

Quality Starter: Kendall Fuller, Taron Johnson

Competitive Starter: Sean Murphy Bunting, Marcus Jones

Quality Depth: Isaiah Rodgers, Bryce Hall, Rock Ya Sin

Incomplete Evaluation: Darius Rush, Juju Brents, Nate Wiggins, Andu Phillips

Total Points: 15pts

Raleigh’s ranking is a product of throwing a lot of darts at this position and having a lot of startable bodies. If I am being honest, I’d probably take a few of the crews behind mine over this, but I think I’ve done enough to turn by biggest weakness on defense into a solid group for BDL.

  1. Quebec

Franchise Cornerstone: L’Jarius Sneed

Quality Starter: Asante Samuel Jr

Quality Depth: Benjamin St. Juste, Mekhi Blackmon, Dee Alford

Incomplete Evaluation: Elijah Jones, Decamarion Richardson, Kamal Hadden

Total Points: 14pts

Quebec with a strong top 2 but questions after that. They could probably use the tank to fill out the room a bit more.

  1. Hungary

Quality Starter: Carlton Davis

Competitive Starter: Emmanuel Mosley, Roger McCreary

Quality Depth: Jeff Okudah, Kei’Trell Clark, Chamarri Conner, Terrel Smith, Tre Brown

Incomplete Evaluation: Riley Moss, Cooper DeJean, Quinyon Mitchell

Replacement Level: Marcus Peters

Total Points: 13pts

Davis seemed to take a step back last season but McCreary took a step up. Mosley’s season was lost to injury last year, so it’ll be interesting to see how he bounces back.

  1. Greenland

Quality Starter; Marshon Lattimore+, Tariq Woolen

Competitive Starter: Joey Porter Jr+

Quality Depth: Emmanuel Forbes

Total Points: 13pts

Greenland has a strong top 3, so a few quality additions in the tank would probably have this group shoot up the list.

  1. Lancaster

Franchise Cornerstone: Jalen Ramsey

Competitive Starter; Brandon Stephens, Tyrique Stevenson

Quality Depth: Akayleb Evans, Coby Bryant

Incomplete Evaluation: Kool Aid McKinstry, Kyu Blu Kelly, Corey Trice Jr

Total Points: 13pts

Ramsey is still clutching on to cornerstone status but will that continue this year? Stevenson had great ball production as a rookie and Stephens is an underrated player. I have some questions about their depth beyond that, but I’d be excited to see what Kool-Aid adds to this room.

  1. New Orleans

Competitive Starter: Rasul Douglas, Decommadore Lenoir, Cam Taylor Britt

Quality Depth: Kristian Fulton, Eric Stokes, Decobie Durant, Derion Kendrick, Jakorian Bennett

Replacement Level: Adoree Jackson, Stephon Gilmore

Total Points: 11pts

New Orleans has a lot of bodies here but nothing that would strike fear in me as an opponent. If Jackson and Gilmore sign, they’ll have an even deeper group that should be more than sufficient for the season

  1. Las Vegas

Competitive Starter: Chidobe Awuzie, Michael Carter II+, Dane Jackson, Jaycee Horn

Quality Depth; Michael Jackson

Incomplete Evaluation: TJ Tampa

Replacement Level: Noah Igbinoghene

Total Points: 10pts

Vegas has 4 nice players at the top of this group, but nothing that I’d be overly excited about maybe outside of Horn, who has not been healthy enough to be more than a projection.

  1. Berlin

Quality Starter: Devon Witherspoon

Competitive Starter: Deonte Banks, DJ Turner

Quality Depth: Christian Benford

Incomplete Evaluation: Terrion Arnold

Total Points: 9pts

Dibs on Rags being the one that complains the most about his ranking! Witherspoon looks like he is on his way to cornerstone status, but it's fair to hold him in Quality Starter for now. Banks and Turner both showed real potential in year 1, so I could see them jumping a tier as well. Arnold as a rookie also gives a ton to be excited about. This group could easily make this ranking look silly by midseason.

  1. CWM

Quality Starter: Darius Slay, Tyson Campbell

Incomplete Evaluation: Tre Tomlinson, Cam Smith, Mike Sainristil

Total Points: 8pts

A pretty strong top 2, but they need some tank additions to really be formidable this season.

  1. Cancun

Quality Starter: Darious Williams

Quality Depth: Jack Jones, Jaylen Watson, Eli Ricks, Carrington Valentine

Incomplete Evaluation: Cam Hart, Khyree Jackson

Replacement Level: Zyon McCollum

Total Points: 8pts

They certainly have players here.
