Humble_Beast Posted August 8 Share Posted August 8 A forward thinking gm would get Aiyuk. I would offer Meyers and a 3rd. Meyers is good and probably would shine on 9ers. He’s separates, not expensive, has been a WR1. Aiyuk is a talented WR1. We will have money to get him a new deal, as we are likely to draft a QB in 2025. We could have a Great 1-2 punch like our last great teams has Brown/Rice and Cooper/Crabtree. Or we could flip Tae for a future 1st with an in house WR1. Meyers is very good. I agree with this thought, it's because Meyers doesn't have that flashy speed to make the highlight plays. He gets open and moves the chains. I think Aiyuk is better but it's that that huge of a gap. Aiyuk is probably somewhere 15-25 WR1 with potential, and Meyers is a top 5 WR2 so like a top 37 WR. Meyers could thrive in that system too. That 30M+ per season on top of D. Adams' contract is going to wipe out a huge part of our salary cap. It would be the perfect time to draft a rookie QB though. Tank4Drake Posted August 9 Share Posted August 9 Pretty Rickey mentioned something about Aiyuk’s agent is at our facility. 49ers are ALL IN on the Super Bowl this year, so if they lose Aiyuk, they want a top receiver. Imagine if the 49ers gave us a 1st and Aiyuk for Adams, lol. Aiyuk is not on Adams level for 2024, but Aiyuk is gonna be a Top 10 WR for the next 4-5 years. Adams only has one elite year and one good year left IMO. Adams would absolutely MURDER on the Niners this season. 1650 yards and like 15 TDs.
