AA probably restructures his deal to avoid that happening. But I did forget about him. He may be someone they release but I don't know how much of cap savings that would provide. I think it makes sense for Griese to be promoted to passing game specialist, klay to QB coach. Also note Mick was the WR Coach for the Pats. I've said it before, but if you get to that level of offensive efficiency, you keep the pieces until they age out. It's a championship contention guarantor. I think that Purdy can and will regress on the deep ball stuff. I mean, he was the most accurate passer of throws over 20 yards in the past decade and a half by 15 percentage points. That's unsustainable. But he didn't even have average pass protection. I think a guy like Morgan may be a good choice as he can shift inside to play guard and then swing out to tackle. Granted, that's not always the best of strategies. It just probably lowered his cap hit for 2024 a bit and then he will be under contract in 2025. This does not take us out of drafting a tackle in this year's draft.
