dll2000
The Poles trading of Khalil Mack and his contract looks pretty genius now.

I always assumed Mayfield was returning there.

Some may be concerned about his time in Philly but given he joined as that team midseason when they started falling apart, had to learn a playbook on the fly, then had the change in DC I don't think he ever had a shot to show his best...full off-season in this scheme getting to know the guys around him and I feel he will be rock solid. It's a good lesson for Fields that if he plays well next season he's not gonna be able to demand more than 10%-20% more than what Baker got edit: If Fields would hypothetically agree to play on a team-friendly contract his trade value goes way up (below Baker contract) If Fields were to agree to a contract extension equal to the #1 pick for the next 5 years which QB would we go with? If Vikings lose Cousins and don’t want Fields or another vet QB then they have to draft one. Which likely means a trade up into top 10. Or it is a gamble to miss their guy - Probably JJ. Could be a trade with us. If not it still helps push a position player to us. Hopefully - to me - it’s Odunze.
