battle2heaven
Some total guarantees from the Vikings UDFA from OTC. Context, last year Carter and Pace got 340k and 236k. Gabriel Murphy 245k Dwight McGlothern 30k (wow) Jeshaun Jones 235k (wow) Bo Richter 15k (wow) Taki Taimani 100k Trey Knox 130k Doug Nestor 85k The NFL does not think highly of McGlothern or Bo Richter. But like we thought, Murphy gets the UDFA bag. Jeshaun Jones coming in hot with 235k, did not expect that. Makes me want to go back and watch him more. That practically guarantees him a practice squad slot.

If they make the team or PS they will make the pre-requisite amounts. When they are on the 90 man, they make whatever that minimum amount is. These numbers basically show 2 things 1. how badly the Vikings wanted a player, or 2. how much competition there was for said player

vikesfan89
Hopefully their reaction to who the first defensive player drafted was ages as well as the reaction to the Reagor pick. I think it's kind of funny that they just refer to the kicker as the kicker and Kwesi seems kind of excited about taking a kicker. Obviously they only show what they want us to see but it seems like they were really excited when the players fell to them and they didn't have to trade up. Kwesi said that he'd get some more picks I guess he's not all about stockpiling picks

swede700
I've always thought that the fact that they drafted a kicker tells you a lot about what they thought of the depth of the draft...and especially when you saw in the video that Kwesi was fairly confident that Jurgens would be there later, while Reichard probably would not.

This was fun to watch. A couple of things stuck out to me: first, the players they took definitely seemed to be the ones they genuinely wanted. Especially since they were talking about 3 of them during the fifth round (Reicherd, Jurgens, Levi); second if Levi makes the final 53, he's going to be one of the easiest guys in the world to root for.

They correctly predicted a kicker run would happen. That's cool, hats off to their projection models they built. Also cool they started the kicker run, instead of picking the left overs at the end. So they got their guy that they wanted. Now he just has to go out there and make kicks.

Reichard, as are most kickers, is known for his cool demeanor. It shows in interviews, as he shows little emotion. Even when he's talking about how excited he is. He comes off as sort of... dull, lol
