Docknstein11
Idk about you guys but I’m starting to think the oline might be a problem
chisoxguy7
My concern is the damage that can be done both physically and mentally to a rookie QB due to OL issues. I hope we don't see that with Caleb but there's a long list of highly touted QBs who never panned out due to being stuck behind subpar offensive lines.

BACK2MACKSACK
Caleb Williams is not that good. As I thought he is undersized and not nearly as explosive on the run as anticipated. We should try to get some passes while in motion.

In typical Chicago fashion, rather than mixing things up, we will continue to do the same things again and again and wonder why the results aren't different

dll2000
The defensive coaches are ahead of offensive coaches mostly in league right now. They have figured out how to best defend the pass and most every OC has forgotten how to properly run the football to keep them from doing what they are doing. They all have same 5 run plays and run mostly 3 of them. Plus there is an Oline problem. The dLine men are so much better athletes than the Olinemen across board. Run pin and pull. Run lead iso. Run counter Trey. Run trap. Run traps where you release DL and blast him so he doesn’t know where blocks are coming from. Release a DL and just read him. You don’t make them have to think at all. And they are stupid humans a lot of them. They can just run forward as hard as they can every play. Inside zone draw and OZ alone aren’t working anymore. beardown3231
You guys think the Bears will ever have a guy throw for 4000 yards? Because it ain't happening this year!

dll2000
Poles was really banking on Bates being a dude this year. Even before he got hurt in camp he had not seized the job over a guy who is bad. In hindsight it is starting to look like we should have spent either Allen money or the Odunze pick on Oline. Or spent whatever it takes on FA at C for Pocic or someone who is actually someone a team is dying to keep on their team and gets outbid and just left Jenkins at RG where he was thriving and you would have had two people movers on right. Patch LG if needed. Patching C or OT is a bad idea.

He also needs to use better footwork. There were multiple times he didn't even go into a drop and just stood there expecting a guy to be open. That stuff isn't going to fly in the big leagues. Madmike90
Homer playing 20% more than Herbert can't continue... Darrell Taylor after looking great last week only played 44% of the snaps...crazy.
lumberjackchris
Physical *** game guys. Yalls defense is legit. Caleb has the tools to be the man, and Flus is going to be a heck of a DC for a contender next year. They'll have to get an offensive HC in there to help Caleb. Good luck the rest of the season!
beardown3231
Rewatched the game in the middle of the night like a f***ing moron Williams has to be a lot better. Standing there for forever waiting for someone to be open needs to stop. His 15+ accuracy is bad. They shouldn't need a team of All Pros around him. Sure the OL blows but I expected more Waldron is a clown. Swift is not an every down guy. Homer playing way more than Herbert is a joke. How about some rollouts for CW and/or getting him on the move? How about a draw? Indianapolis and every team that follows are going to throw stunts, blitzes and overloads at them the rest of the year Odunze played hard nosed at UW. He's playing soft now Gerald Everett is a waste The OL is a joke. Shelton is as bad as bad gets. Davis sucks. Wright wasn't good yesterday. Jones is light in the a** Eberflus is a great defensive coach but the offense being this unprepared & bad and him approving this s*** each week is not exactly a feather in his cap. His challenges (and the explanation postgame) are embarrassing. If Poles is serious he needs to start considering and doing homework on Slowik and Kubiak so he's ready in January Edited Monday at 12:25 PM by beardown3231
BEAR FACE DOWN ARROW
So with a little space and time from this game, did we really think they were going to win? Texans are a contender and the Bears are quite fresh at least on offense. Honestly the defense performed better than expected, I think they could hold a team like the Chiefs to <24pts. The offense is looking ****tier than I thought, and it's concerning. Some explanations are obvious; when you neglect OL it's going to look bad unless everything else is very good. This is not Tom Brady back there getting it out quick every time. The disorganization is extremely alarming. And again, we have to wonder if a non functional OL is going to mess with this QB's development or get him hurt. If you're being honest, you probably think both are going to happen this year. Time for the thought's and prayers about the OL, we made it almost two weeks before that kicked in. Would you give up next years Panthers 2nd for a trade C? It's obviously not ideal but this is not tenable.
