But there’s also a reason we’re gashing them up the middle in the run game — he forces them to stretch their defense horizontally, as does Jayden. Those screens are kind of the inverse of keeping the offense balanced by running the ball enough to “keep them honest.” They’re making them continue to respect the perimeter.
