showtime
Five of the six NFC playoff seeds have been claimed. The final spot is up for grabs with two teams vying for it - the Atlanta Falcons and the Seattle Seahawks. Both teams are currently 9-6, but the Falcons have the tie breaker due to beating the Seahawks earlier in the season in their head-to-head match-up. The Falcons last game is at home vs the Carolina Panthers at 1:00pm est next Sunday. The Panthers are currently tied with the Saints atop the NFC South with an 11-4 record. There is still a chance the Panthers can win the division with a win and a Saints loss, so there is incentive for them to go full speed vs the Falcons. The Seahawks play the Cardinals at home at 4:25pm est next Sunday. The Cardinals have been eliminated from playoff contention, so they have no incentive to win as far as that is concerned. The Cardinals incentive to win would be to help put the Seahawks out of the postseason. So who do you guys think claims the final NFC playoff spot? Zithers2
Seahawks, because the Panthers are gonna open up a can of whoop-butt on the Falcons when the game is flexed to SNF and Seattle beats 'Zona earlier in the day.

It is always left open so that they can pick the most compelling matchup. Which is CAR @ ATL.

FalconFan13
To me it all depends what happens earlier in the day if we get flexed. Ithe Saints win and locks up the division and the panthers can't move forward or back in the standings they might rest some players to keep form injury. In that case i think it's a easy win for Atlanta for sure and we make the playoffs. If the Cards beat the seahawks earlier in the day we automatically get the layoff spot no matter if we win or lose. Then you have the chance of us just beating the panthers at home which outside of a dropped julio TD we had them beat in carolina so we def. got a chance to beat them. Zithers2
apparently no games are being flexed. they were probably hoping for PHI/DAL but now that game is meaningless for Dallas. Most people will probably be tuning out on NYE unless there's a must-see game, which there really isn't.
