Had no doubt he'd draw interest right away. He's still got potential especially a a rotational DE.

Sucks it's all our rivals lol...

Yeah. I don't think he's nearly as bad as a lot of folks try to make him out to be.

Is it? He rarley got home. Don Smith is going stone wall him.

I think so. He's better than he gets credit for. He's not a consistent 9.5 sack guy but he gets pressures. If he had anyone worth a **** lined up on the other side, I think he'd still be here.

Is this factoring in what they have allotted for the rookie contracts or not (the $13 million remaining)?

Overthecap has us at $32M in cap space. But it doesn't have Curry's deal on there yet. JPP is.

Over the cap has us down for having $62,000,000 in space next year. That's with Jackson $10,000,000, Sweezy $5,200,000 still on the roster. Should be sniffing $80,000,000. Cap goes up and then do we look at moving on from McCoy at 31 years old and his $13,000,000 cap hit.

Curry's deal is $6.5M. So we would be around $25M in cap space. Which I'm not sure is right. But maybe.

I think you're pretty close. So conservatively, estimate our rookie class takes up $4-5 million, so we should have approx. $18-20 million left. I'm sure there is so dead money in there we're missing, so I'll say we likely have around $15 million remaining we could allocate.

I'dd love to see us sign a veteran DB heading into the draft, would really set this off-season over the top and give us flexibility in the draft...
