I guess I just disagree with everyone else on what priority #2 is. Everyone (and you guys are probably right) think it's LB, while I think it's DT. Probably because I have a man crush on Jordan Evans still... No. Jordan Evans definitely had his moments, I guess I just trust Glasgow and Billings more to fill one spot than Evans to fill two. If there's pressure up the middle, it will force the QB off of their spot. For QBs like Wilson, Rodgers, Wentz, it probably won't have as much of an effect but for the majority of QBs it will. Also by not allowing the QB to step up in the pocket, it helps the DEs get more sacks. Right now teams double Geno and occasionally will chip/help on Lawson. They'll keep doing that in 2018, but with Vea and Dunlap they can make them pay. Also IMO any LB we draft will still be behind Burfict, Vigil and Jordan Evans. But a DT can immediately step in and start next to Geno. Call it a pipe dream... Or they re-sign Sims and the rookie sits....

Marquise Flowers played a good game for the Patriots this past Sunday. Great coaching must be nice...

I can't see any draft pick or FA unseating him. Long time vet? Check Underwhelming performance? Check Guaranteed roster spot? Check Guaranteed starter? Beck Bristow
Come on J! It's a new era! They will sign Sims cheap or depth, and to keep from having to draft a DT, but he will be beaten out if there is a better player.
Johnny Nix
We do need to start looking for potential replacements at some point for Atkins and Dunlap in the next 2 years. At some point production is gonna drop off

We then can draft/sign depth behind them (although I like Chris Smith) which will be critical in another offseason. DT is however a big need already. When Geno takes a breathier (which with his sickle cell is a bit more than most DTs), we have zero interior pass rush. That needs to change... Lawson isn’t really a 4-3 DE, he’s a pass rush specialist. Willis has be solid but I wouldn’t say he’s ready to be a starter either

Willis has be solid but I wouldn’t say he’s ready to be a starter either I disagree. One of the best 4-3 DEs in the NFL right now is Brandon Graham (6'2 265 lbs), Carl Lawson is 6'2 260 lbs. The key is to have a rotation which we do now with Lawson, Willis, Dunlap and Chris Smith (And MJ93 unfortunately). We should eliminate MJ93 and bring in another DE in another offseason that can add to that rotation. I'm too lazy to look up snap counts but we should play Lawson around the same snap count wise as Philly does for Graham. The problem we run into if we try to have a 'run play DE' and a 'pass rush DE' is teams can just go into a no huddle when MJ93 is on the field and we're toast. But if you rotate Lawson with a guy like Chris Long, Derrek Barnet, or Vinny Curry then you have multiple guys that can rush the passer. Plus Lawson can play the run, he's not a liability. You just don't want him playing 1,000+ defensive snaps a season which is where the rotation comes in...

Since then several interior linemen have gone high.
Beck Bristow
If those guys had worked out like they were expected to, they would be good picks.
