Didn't see this anywhere, one advantage to being bad, early waiver claim.

I had Kelly in my top 100 last year and we get a look at him for free.

Nice work Gutey.

Hopefully the kid can play special teams well. It would be great if he could fit in behind Valentine and develop into a decent CB 4/5.

At least we aren't the Bills.

We will be if we give Love that contract.

Josh Allen was at 53% and 6.5 YPA. They surrounded him with talent. He looked better with that talent. They gave him that contract. They were not able to keep the talent around him because he started winning more games, ruining their draft capital, costing in cap space.

This is the cycle of every NFL team. We don’t have the luxury of 4 years on a rookie contract with Love.

If we extend him, it’s going to lead to a gradual, slow downturn that will waste a decade.

They've kept all the talent around him, where did Diggs go? They've invested in Gabe Davis, Kincaid, Cook, Shakir.

The problem with Buffalo is why I'm leery to add any tough, regimented assistant as a HC, they turn programs around, but the schtick gets old and the players stop buying in if the results don't come immediately. Saleh and Campbell will run into this too. BB is up against it right now. The only guys who last are the Reid's, Tomlin's, John Harbaugh, Mac's etc... player coaches.

This, and Josh Allen keeps throwing it to the other team.

Not to come to Barry's aid at all, but this is exactly what the Fangio defense does, sacrificing run defense to stop explosive aerial attacks. Now when those defenses were dominant in Chi/SF, he had elite DL's to limit the run game big plays, that and Fangio himself had better defensive calls than Barry. The game has changed a lot since Fangio's hay day too, his defense got big when teams were stubborn and sticking to their vertical schemes, just like all fads (read option being the most recent) eventually you get figured out and everyone adjusts.

The defense works for preventing explosive passes though. Evidence is obvious. You just need a Bosa, Buckner, Armstead or Hicks, Floyd, Mack level of talent on your DL.

Sure, Ray Barry.

I absolutely am not a fan of modern defense. Two deep safeties , letting up the run. Weak s*** if you ask me.
