Lodestar
Random observation that I'm too lazy to qualify with stats — it seems like our defense is already way stronger in short-yardage and 4th down situations. We stopped a tush push in week 1 (gave up the next one but still) and then the past two weeks there have been at least two absolutely huge stops on 4th down. I'm conditioned to just assume the opposing offense will convert in these situations, so it's been really fun and surprising seeing our defense hold up like that.
Brit Pack
I hope this is not a pattern for QBs who signed mammoth contracts in the 2024 off-season: T Lawrence = sucks Goff = returning to sucky Tua = injured/career over... Dak = way overpaid, on a losing team that is crippled by his contract, and he has a QB rating of 85 JLove = ..... Of course it’s possible they have a more clear prognosis now but so far no indication that this is the case.

Mazrimiv
Damn... Brett Favre reveals he's been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease Quote Testifying to U.S. Congress on Tuesday, Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre revealed that he's recently been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, an incurable degenerative disorder. This is an amazing game and the intensity of the hits and fight these guys show is why I love it. It is hard to think of the toll it takes on these modern day gladiators. Laces Out
Timing of it all is dubious, and obviously not a great look given the context of how he revealed it... But I honestly hope someone sits down Tua - or whoever else on a team dealing with head injuries for that matter - and explains how good life can be after football if he quits while he's ahead. No shame in that whatsoever, especially given what we all know now. Luke Kuechly's best decision of his life might have been knowing when it was time to hang 'em up. Mazrimiv
GB with a chance to restore their good standing with the Messiah Quote Back in Week 1, the Panthers poached tight end Messiah Swinson, who had been with the Packers since signing an undrafted rookie free agent deal with the team in April, off of the practice squad. Swinson, a 6’7”, 259-pound tight end, is best known for his blocking ability. The Panthers never played the Arizona State (by way of Missouri) product, though, and have now waived him after three weeks on the active roster.
