RaidersAreOne
https://www.mercurynews.com/2018/01/09/why-jon-gruden-chose-his-three-coordinators-for-the-raiders/ Quote Instead of Todd Downing, John Pagano and Brad Seely, it’ll be Greg Olson, Paul Guenther and Rich Bisaccia leading Gruden’s staff. Olson, the offensive coordinator, served as the Rams quarterbacks coach this season. Guenther, the defensive coordinator, held the same position with the Bengals this year. Bisaccia, the special teams coach, led the Cowboys special teams in 2017. Most Raider talk has been focused on Jon Gruden, but he has officially announced these three to his coaching staff. Guenther was the Bengals DC the past number of years, Olsen was the Raiders OC in Carr's rookie year and has worked with Bortles and Goff since. Bisaccia was the Cowboys ST coach. What are your thoughts thus far on his staff? Do you have any info on these guys? Edited January 10, 2018 by RaidersAreOne
El Ramster
Shame he won't have a Jared Goff to take him to the next level . But hope the best for him.. Wonder if he'll take Mcvays schemes and fake jets reverses. Who do the raiders have that's a speed demon?

JiffyJag
legit pretty sure Gruden thinks he scored the Panthers TE because Greg Olsen the coach is a terrible hire

Olsen isn't calling plays... He's helping install the offense. 2. He has a track record of working well with young quarterbacks, see his work with Goff, what McVay had to say about him, and Carr has raved about him. 3.He's coming from the #1 offense in the NFL this year in the regular season, a large part of which was unbelievable scheming/coaching. Seeing as we needed an OC who would be willing to NOT call plays, Olsen is an ideal hire. Most OC's would not want a part of this offensive coaching staff because they would want to call plays and establish a resume to eventually become a head coach.

I don't think his offense is sustainable for any more than a season, which his history as a coordinator would suggest. Pretty sure he directly told Bortles to stop visiting the guy that fixed his mechanics, and, shockingly, Bortles regressed the next year. Goff didn't have them either and look how Olsen helped develop him. Don't take my word for it, ask @jrry32 .

Also, if you want to give Olsen credit for Goff go for it, but I'm giving most all of the credit to that guy named McVay lol.
