Refugee
I guess Lion’s kicker blew out his hamstring and is out for the season. They are bringing in a bunch of tryout guys. We definitely have incentive to keep the kicker battle going up til the end. At least make a rival sweat it out before they can try to recycle GB trash.

They had already signed that K from the UFL, so it's not like they are totally screwed.

He definitely has the “leg up” in the competition. I think they would definitely want Turner back if we released him. Maybe we do the player a favor and cut him early but I doubt it since it would benefit a rival. If their UFL guy works out, that league might become a specialist recruitment incubator after the season the guy in Dallas just had. Kicker is a hard one to evaluate in season. You hope you’ve got your guy but never know until the critical moments in game. Anyway, if Anders becomes a solid pro none of it will matter but that competition might go a while. I hope they cut it down to two at some point.
Mazrimiv
I think the specialists are definitely where the UFL/XFL gives guys a legit chance to play and receive interest from NFL if they perform well. Hell, Anders will probably land there if he loses the camp competition.
Mazrimiv
HOF game is a few days away. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas football season. Everywhere you go.
Mazrimiv
I had to laugh when I saw this Quote San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk (back, neck) has been doing everything at training camp except practicing, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan. Aiyuk has been dealing with back and neck soreness.

So long as they're mainly farting around with installs and it's a vet, who cares?
Mazrimiv
I expect it's true enough that SF would probably rather have Aiyuk sit out most of camp rather than half *** it through the practices. The reserves can use the snaps. Once the games are real, Aiyuk will be playing.

Is he that rare dude who will sit out the maximum number of games and still have the year counted.
Mazrimiv
Aiyuk isn't going to miss game checks. He's not that guy.
