According to Field Yates of ESPN, Peterson signed with Washington for one year and $1.05 million, which is the minimum for a player with his level of experience. Under NFL rules, a player making the veteran minimum costs just $630,000 against the salary cap.

I hate seeing him bounce all over the league but I do hope he gets his 100th touchdown and breaks into the top 10 in rushing. I thought he showed some flashes last year on a Cardinals team with Drew Stanton, Blaine Gabbert, and a horrid offensive line that was devastated by injuries

37 yards and 1 TD is all he needs. Not sure he catches Dorsett (463 yards) away. 2014 and 2016 seasons really hurt him otherwise I believe he would be in the top 5 right now.

Officially, Washington has only one retired number: Sammy Baugh’s 33. Unofficially, others aren’t used, such as Darrell Green’s 28. That won’t change with the arrival of a guy who has worn that number for most of his career.

Per Rich Tandler of NBC Sports Washington, Peterson will wear No. 26 with his new team. Peterson wore 28 with the Vikings and Saints, and 23 with the Cardinals.

#26 for Washington reminds me too much of Clinton Portis.

Not a fan of the move, AD.xD

I don't even remember much of Portis' career with Washington.  As far as I was concerned, his productivity ended in Denver.

Washington needed to see only one carry from Adrian Peterson to know he’s the best running back on their roster. But for good measure, they handed it to him seven times in a row on their second series and 11 times overall in the first half.

Peterson was the highlight for his new team, which otherwise struggled in falling behind 17-3 at halftime. He ran for 56 yards, including a 15-yarder, and ended up with a 5.1 yards per carry average. Washington had only 110 total yards on 32 snaps in the first half.

Reserve offensive lineman Jeremiah Sirles, who started at right tackle last week because of all the other injuries that have hit them at the position, was out of practice Monday because of a hamstring issue he suffered Friday night.

Apparently, Kalil isn't the only former Viking OL on the Panthers with injury issues.

Hall of Fame wide receiver Cris Carter remembers how his own career ended, and he thinks future Hall of Fame running back Adrian Peterson is due for a similar ending. Carter, who played his 16th and final season in Miami and caught just eight passes, believes Peterson is in for a similar season in Washington this year.

Carter:  “Did you see me in a Dolphins uniform? I had no business playing that season. I wouldn’t have admitted it, either. These guys get so sensitive about everything. Adrian had better get over himself. We were all great. But at the end, we all smelled like a baby’s diaper.”

I don't know about Peterson, but he was spot on when referring to himself...he should've never played that last year in Miami...he stunk like a diaper in the landfill.
