The entire reason we even have a chance to take what you consider to be the best defensive player is because we were smart and made trades and deals. There’s a balance to be found as far as I’m concerned. I’m not trading down just for the sake of trading down. But if it’s Chubb or 12, 22 and a 2019 1st, I’m doing it in a heartbeat. People complain about passing on QBs when we have no QBs. We now have Taylor, so its a bit different. That said, of course I want one.
bruceb
Just do the math. The value of a trade-down > the value of using the pick.

I'm in agreement to generally favor trade downs. Fwiw, though, the math itself is subjective to whose chart we adhere to, if any.

OhioG
Maybe I should rephrase it, is Denzel Ward a top 5/elite CB kind of talent

And Dorsey likes large CBs. Ward definitely doesn't fit that bill.

We really are set at linebacker. But everybody else are some of my favorites in the draft

Game-changing talent, none. Our LB unit is good, but Edmunds can take it over the top, imho.

Id love to see 16 games of Collins and Garrett on the field together. on 3rd downs we will have pass rushing options like. Garrett, Ogbah, Larry,Collins or other variations like Garrett Larry Ogbah collins, kirksey, peppers, joe s crowded near the line in a blitz package with some dropping back.
