broncos67
This is disgusting. He should be held out from playing until the investigation is complete. Clearly will lead to a substantial issue roster-wise. https://www.denverpost.com/2018/03/12/adam-gotsis-rape-charge-atlanta-denver-broncos/
jsthomp2007
This happened in 2013? The Broncos need to do a better job vetting these guys...even if he is innocent...you don't sign a guy till this is summed up.
Broncofan
We shouldn't jump to any conclusions until the facts come out. But, given the severity of the issue, we can clearly say he's not likely to be playing for us anytime soon, until this matter is cleared. Damn. It's an awful look for us....but only if there was a complaint lodged. No complaint until the recent one in Feb. 1, then it's hard to fault Elway or the org. broncos67
Yeah, I don't fault the organization, but he also went and turned himself in. I will give anyone their due process, but this certainly is a major problem for reasons far beyond football

Without getting into the politics of this (which is strictly off-limits on FF, as a heads-up) - this isn't unusual. And given the severity of the alleged crime, it's not going away anytime soon. You can pretty much assume 2018 is likely a lost year, and obviously if there's any truth to the story, he's done in the NFL. Either way, we're probably not going to find out the facts for a while, so can't reserve judgment until we know more.

AnAngryAmerican
Despicable. I’d throw him off the team now. But we hired a coach with a spotty past on issues like these so I doubt that happens.
1234567
Hmm. Odd that it's just now coming to legal action. Unless she just now reported it; that would make more sense. Typically VRA crimes result in an investigation and subsequent arrest much quicker than 5 years. Either way, until the factual evidence of the case comes out, there's no way to know what the appropriate steps are. You don't just kick someone off the team over a 5 year old allegation that you know nothing about. I will say this though: being so long ago, and assuming she just now reported it, for them to actually have a judge sign off on an arrest warrant.. There must be some fairly significant evidentiary proof. That doesn't bode well.
BaldyBronco
He has not been charged. He is being investigated. We have to step back and reserve judgment and allow her k due process. It’s very troubling.

elliot878
Idk what to think on this one. If it's true obviously get him out of here as soon as possible, despicable. On the other hand, if the complaint really was lodged in February for something that supposedly happened 5 years ago, it needs to be met with some skepticism. I don't think they'd place him under arrest if there wasn't something damning though.
