It sounds like the decision came down to Daniels vs. McCarthy. Even though they didn’t take my guy (Maye), I’m happy they didn’t fully outsmart themselves by taking the eventual 5th QB to be drafted.

Idk, maybe it’s time to stop solely blaming the OL? He’s had a fairly terrible pressure-to-sack ratio since college. Only so much the OL can do.

This is well-reasoned, but everything Washington fans are hearing is how tight-lipped the organization is now. No one really knows anything (as proven by the coaching search), even our most plugged in beat reporters. I doubt anyone aside from ~5 people within the Washington organization knows which QB they prefer at this point.

So how exactly do they expect to force the Commanders not to pick Maye at #2? Because the media spin won't get it done.
