If the Pats won SB52, everyone would be talking about that as the greatest game by a QB ever in the postseason. I don't see any reason to think that from a talent point of view that he has declined since February.

However, a shaky OL and awful depth in the receiving group could make him look old quickly.

That's just how aging works man.  At some point in the near future Brady WILL decline, that is just simply inevitable.  Meaning that he will likely play fine one day and then drop off.  It wouldn't even really need to be after 7 months, the decline could begin after one week.  I'm not saying that he will necessarily go from last year's MVP performance to bumbling around in the backfield like a trainwreck, but even a 10-15% decline in his play could cost NE 2 or 3 games this season and force them into playing WC weekend in the playoffs rather than having their accustomed bye.

When it comes to Brady, certain people are just in denial about his age and assume he will play like an MVP no matter how old he gets, but every player gets too old to be effective eventually and the same will happen to Brady, either this year or next.  That's my opinion anyway.

That isn't how it works.

Professional athletes don't just drop off the face of the planet. There is usually a noticeable period of deterioration before they hit the wall.

No, not with NFL QB's. Peyton Manning and Brett Favre were fantastic one day, literally woke up the next day with all of their abilities gone. Yes, any other sport, or any other position for that matter, is a gradual decline. But once NFL QB's go in that 39-41 range, there is a cliff that they fall off very very suddenly.

Peyton didn't just hit a wall. His decline actually started at the halfway point of 2014,  people were just not paying attention. Favre too didn't hit the wall, he had been up and down the previous 4-5 years. 2009 was complete outlier season compared to everything he had done since 2003.

What happened with Favre and other older QBs ( Carson Palmer a more recent example) is that they look fine in September, but by the time December/January rolls around their bodies can't handle the grind of the season as well as when they were younger men. Favre's passer rating took a severe dip several years in a row as the weather turned cold and the season wore on. One of the beat writers wrote it up and it was startling to see it all laid out.

We've already seen similar hints with Eli. As noted by some NFL gurus, the legs are the first thing to go...Brady has modern medicine on his side, but eventually he'll succumb to undefeated Father Time - and when he does - it will likley show up in December/January.

And I think that will start this year. We'll see usual Brady but Week 15 or 16 and the playoffs we'll notice some decline.

What I think will happen-  Texans/Niners

What do you want to happen?-  Browns/Lions-  The Super Bowl America needs

The Niners seem to be way over hyped this season. Packers and Niners have similar Super Bowl odds which is ridiculous. Niners should be right around 8-8 this year, defense still needs a lot of work. However, they're potential is exciting and i am very happy for their progress. But Super Bowl... lol. Jimmy would have to have a uanimous MVP type season.
