It's still super early but who do you think would or should go first overall in a redraft of the 2014 draft?

Some of the bigger names:

3. Carlos Rodon
4. Kyle Schwarber
5. Nick Gordon
7. Aaron Nola
8. Kyle Freeland
9. Jeff Hoffman
10. Michael Conforto
13. Trea Turner
15. Sean Newcomb
21. Bradley Zimmer
31. Justus Sheffield
33. Michael Kopech
37. Derek Fisher
62. Alex Verdugo
64. Mitch Keller
69. Marcus Wilson
70. Isan Diaz
72. Brent Honeywell
142. Rhys Hoskins
169. Dylan Cease
326. Brandon Woodruff

This is only counting guys who actually signed.

It pains me but I think I have to go Conforto. I thought coming out he would be a .300 hitter but only have may 20 HRs a season. If he is .300 and 30 HR I don't know how you don't take 1. Trea Turner looks really good too, but I don't think he beats that. I see them as ultimately being similar hitters for average. So it is Turner's speed vs Conforto's power. If Conforto is hitting 30 HRs I'll take that. If this is an abherration and he is the 20 HR I guy I expected than I'd take Turner.

Nola I think has shown that he is a #1 which is more than many, inlcuding me, thought when he came out. But I still think Conforto edges him. I also think Conforto is safer to consistently be at his best than Nola who I can see having some periods like Hamels where he is still good but not quite the #1 we needed.

Turner is in a class of his own here. Conforto, Nola, Honeywell, and Meatball are in tier 2.

I would not put Meatball that high.

I think the fact that Conforto is now an up the middle player helps him a lot. Even if he won't be there for his whole career, I think he can play an average center for the next few years.

Personally I probably wouldn't either but the baseball market loves him. One season a go the Cubs wouldn't move him for Andrew Miller.

I'm too lazy to see where this stands among other drafts, but a lot of these guys are still promising prospects.  Also Trea Turner is ridiculously good

I guess I'm not as high on Turner as others. The tools are super loud but the swing is not great and he's too aggressive for my liking. Performed great last year but wasn't as great this year before the injury.

Still think he's a top 2 player in the class but I don't see a superstar or if he is it's being carried by speed/defense.

Obviously if Turner or Conforto turn into absolute superstars it will move the needle but I don't see it as as strong as 2009-13.

Still better than I think 2016 will end up.
