We're talking about a marginally easier contract to trade.  Let's not pretend like the Rockets could wake up tomorrow and find a team whose willing to take on Knight's salary.  It won't happen.  And the only reason you believe that Knight will be better in Houston than Anderson in Phoenix is because you're a Rockets fan.  He's got a very finite role in Houston as CP3's backup, which means you're looking at ~14 MPG.  Who exactly is Ryan Anderson competing with?  There's a much clearer path to PT in Phoenix for Ryan Anderson.

just because anderson is getting pt in phoenix dont mean he will do anything noteworthy.  He was crap in Houston this past season and that was with 2 of the best ball distributors in the league.  He will be even worse in Phoenix without a ball handler to feed him open looks. Knight may or may not play here but I think he wont be as terrible here as he was in Phoenix.

He doesn't have to be noteworthy, he just has to play reasonably well.  Which given that he played reasonably well in recent years isn't a stretch to make.  The problem was Houston clearly wanted to play more of a small-ball game and Anderson doesn't fit that.

which he wont. It was literally 5 on 4 when Rockets were on offense.  He was scared to shoot.  He had his chance here but didnt make the most of it hence why he was benched in the playoffs and never got his starting spot back from Tucker. At least Knight will be surrounded by much better talent and he wont have less pressure to create stuff for himself.

whats funny is yall all of a sudden thinking we traded a valuable asset a few months from saying rockets dont have an asset.  The hate is real.

No one is saying you traded some stud with Anderson. The trades you guys weren’t posting dumping Ryan Anderson with nothing attached to him and taking zero money back basically we’re absurd, just eat it dude.

Good deal for everyone involved. Rockets save money this year and next. We save money next year. Chriss gets to play with a competent team. Melton probably gets more PT early. Anderson gets to probably make more $ after we cut him (his guaranteed salary from us plus whoever he signs with).
