PossibleCabbage Posted September 1, 2018 Share Posted September 1, 2018 Calling the players before the deadline is a courtesy (which is pretty unfathomably rude to not follow through on). Players who got the call, however, are under no obligation to say anything to the media, and Green Bay won't issue a press release about the initial 53 until well after the deadline.
