He had been trending away for weeks, would it have helped to have had an earlier visit scheduled?

Huge net change downward from Matt Adams as well, from what i'd have to assume was a visit to the other school in the running.  Luckily you have his visit in the next week and he's still viable.

Yup, precisely. That's why I am not too worried about Matt Adams.

Chris Hunt, I don't think so. In the end Georgia Tech was just a more appealing destination, I thought that I'd be able to swipe him away if I got the Kitchen Sink rank 2, but I couldn't manage it in time.

So is there any rhyme or reason to reset the coaching tree XP thing at the end of the year?

You could use it for your coach, if you would've rather put your points somewhere else than you originally did, but the real power behind it is resetting your new coordinators, and then putting the point where you want.

It's Senior day as the the players who've been with the program the longest suit up one last time, and once again it's raining, but they won't let that ruin their farewell tour.

Team started out very flawed. But the ball got rolling in the 2nd, played my backups most of the 4th quarter. Old Dominion went for 2 but didn't convert then towards the end of the game.

Once again, my D-Line carried this game, allowing just 66 yards on the ground on 19 attempts and getting 3 total sacks. The rain did seem to effect Mendoza's ability to throw down the field, either that or he's just gunslinging. Season 2 goal for him is just to cut down on turnovers that's for sure.

Mendoza's first pick came in the first quarter and it led to a TD drive from midfield. The 2nd one, well it ended up working out. Mendoza threw another pick late in the 2nd not long before half time, and then on the next play, CB Marcus Jones was playing shallow zone against the receiver in the flat and OD's QB was under heavy pressure, he returned it all the way. Needless to say after the 2nd pick I ended up playing more passively with Mendoza and ran the ball more. My offensive line struggled early and Henderson was having a rough start, but they picked it up near the end.

Finished the season 11-1, with our only loss being to Rutgers by 4. We're going bowling, the only question is... where?

Punter John Fitzpatrick committed. He's my emergency plan if I can't land the kicker I've been trying to get and am in a battle for.
I've taken the lead for the time being on both the kicker and ATH Matt Adams.

Advancing to conference championship week instead of making another post all together. I'll just note that JUCO MLB Corey Wade has committed.

Here we are at the Conference USA championship game! Somehow the Rice Owls managed to play at a higher level than most would expect of them this season going 8-4 and winning the C-USA West. Troy, a newcomer to the conference, seems to be a blooming powerhouse in the conference.

Scoring Summary
  1st Q 2nd Q 3rd Q 4th Q Final
Rice 0 3 7 0 10
#12 Troy 21 14 0 7 42

This game was pretty messy. The Owls looked like they belonged in the FCS here today. Troy sent in their reserves for the entirety of the 2nd half after a 35-3 shalacking in the first. Mendoza was literally unstoppable today. The defense looked like they belonged to the SEC rather than C-USA.

They only got anything going on offense after the backups came in on D in the second half and struggled to secure tackles or be aware of a QB taking off scrambling after a broken pass play.

Can't find a good picture for it, but Troy is Conference USA champs!

WOW #1 and #2 BOTH went down, the only undefeated teams left in the country both fall on conference championship weekend! Rough year for the SEC East (not sure why Florida wasn't representing them), as well as the ACC Coastal where no team finished better than 7-5, (5-5 in conference).

So what will be the national title game now??

Auburn, Stanford, and Florida State all have a case having won their conference with just 1 loss. Kansas State could also be in the discussion. MAN, IF ONLY WE HAD A 4 TEAM PLAYOFF.
