Danger
It's time for the home opener! Rain and all. Not ideal conditions for the true promising true Freshman Ryan Mendoza starting at QB, but it's against an easy enough team. Twice we picked the ball, we forced 2 other punts, and the other time was in the 4th quarter after I subbed my backups in. As I said, this is more or less a pre season game for Troy at this point in time. He was pretty darn accurate. Honestly even as a freshman I couldn't tell you that he wasn't the same Senior QB Brandon Silvers I had last year. He's going to be an NFL Draft Pick some day. Definitely more partial to Henderson, he's not exactly faster than Chunn, but he seems quicker. And by far the biggest standout that I want to highlight from this game is WR/TE Sam Letton. At 6'2 228 he plays slot WR or 2nd TE and is a lot like Dallas Clark from his days with the Colts. Great target for the Freshman QB. This team is as good if not better than last years. I need to add some WRs in recruiting, but outside of that, this team is much younger and has a higher ceiling than that of last year as well. It may have rained today, but bright days are ahead at Troy.

Matt Adams is a pretty good Sophomore Athlete that could be a great help at WR right away. ATH Stephen Henry is strange to me, it says he's 70 OVR, but his ratings are: 88 Speed, 91 Agility, 92 Acceleration, 81 Catching, 89 Spectacular Catch, 84 Catch in traffic, 56 Route Running, and a lot of other good ones too. tl;dr I think he's better at one position than this game has him pegged for, like Matt Yates from last season who was supposedly a LB but was way better at safety. I'm banking on him being a "Super Gem". Even if he needs to work on route running. Mostly uncontested so far except with Hunt, Graham (may decide to stop pursuing him next week), and K Joe Miller. I don't how that's even possible, but it happened. Oh and they literally were 0-8 on 3rd/4th down. They just straight up got mollywacked. They had a decent amount of momentum going in the 2nd quarter. Whisenhunt my current MLB will probably be around 78 or 79 next season as a RS Sophomore. Corey Wade likely only start for one season. I still hope to get Wade because he'll be able to get playing time at one of the LB spots. Titus Ross would stagger my classes a bit more. tl;dr Wade would likely only be a starter for 1 year, where Ross would likely be a starter for two years at some point, even if Wade has slightly higher potential. Hard for me to tell from just the OVRs, but usually JUCO SOs are some of the most athletic recruits there are. If Wade is stupid fast you might want to start him even if he's a few ticks lower OVR.
