Thats kinda the whole battle here. The investigator was barred from the hearing in which her findings were supposed to be discussed. That makes it unfair. The ruling party *NEVER GOT TO HEAR HER REPORT/TESTIMONY*. Some NFL exec told her not to show up.

Β

You get this right? The NFL had a "fair investigation" - the league office gets the memo that it shows Zeke as innocent - so they exclude the report and their lead investigator from the hearing to which Zeke was suspended.

Instead, they use 2 doctors as their primary evidence against Zeke. Both Doctors have also been discredited - again, not a fair investigation.Β

Dude there is no battle.Β  He will be suspended.Β  But keep grasping at straws.

Not to agree or disagree on the merit of the investigation, but weren't there multiple investigators in the case?

I dont know man, back when it all happened there were plenty of reports that the chick in question had shown off the goods more than a few times.

Why does it even matter if the girl was ok with it? Yeah, if she wasn't ok with it that would be a huge problem, but he still should never have done that. It is incredibly immature, and is not something you want your star rookie to be setting an example of to all of his younger fans. I have no clue why you would even defend him on this.

Im sure the lady in question wasnt the sole person working this - but she was literally the only person that interviewed the victim. Which in a he said/she said is kind of a big deal.

Because if she is okay with it, theres not really anything wrong with it? They are adults and are able to do what they want? In Texas, its not illegal for a woman to go topless. So theres nothing illegal and as adults there is nothing immoral.Β

Really the only grounds for being upset are from a religious or conservative point of view that woman shouldnt show ta ta's in public. Which is a reasonable (albeit sexiest as dudes go topless all the time) stance for people to have.Β  But, think about it, if she lifted up his shirt and showed off pecks/abs, no one would care.Β

I think its more and more likely he will be suspended too. And part of me also wishes he would just serve it and get it over with.

Doesn't mean he should drop this. If he is innocent he should fight the NFL and their ridiculous investigation. This entire thing is insane. I mean, we can all agree with that, right? From the information that is public, this is a total crock of poop. Why let the NFL take millions from you when by their own reports you did nothing wrong.

Β

I mean - would you let your company take 1/3 of your salary this year on baseless accusations without a fight? And further more - if that baseless accusation would then go on to hurt your future earning potential for at least the foreseeable future (in sponsorship deals)? Its pretty clear why Zeke doesnt want to just bend over for the NFL....

Come on, this whole post is pretty ridiculous.Β  He obviously had no idea whether she was "ok" with it before he did.Β  And even so, its a pretty moronic thing to do when you're a public figure.

Ya I think he should have dropped it and just taken the punishment.Β  Would have saved him the legal fees, would allow his teammates to move on from all of this and not have it hanging over the team.Β  I really think some of the other dumb crap he's done had already hurt his chances for endorsement deals.Β Β

Fighting it in court has made it into an even bigger story too.Β  If he had just gotten it over with no one would even be talking about it.

Depends on how youre looking at it. From a public perspective, sure. Obviously its a bad look. But he is rich, famous and talented. Does he really need to care about public perception? There have been plenty of superstars that are also donkeys. Did he do something "wrong" - no. She was okay with it, he was okay with it, it was legal.Β

I mean - unless you got some reason that I can think of? Outside of public perception, what does it matter? And if its only public perception - than he has a right to give it the middle finger. He doesnt have to play by societies guidelinesΒ - he just has to stay within its legal rules.

Hes not paying the legal fees, afaik. The NFL PA is fighting this on his behalf. And he wants the bigger story, so does the NFLPA. They want everyone to know how much the league screwed up. Why would he possibly want people to not talk about it?Β

This is a negotiation tactic for the PA for the next CBA. And if they can win this, it could set a new precedence.Β

Β

Edit - and the question still stands - would you give up 1/3 of your salary based on a baseless accusation without a fight?

He's gotta worry about it if he wants endorsement deals.Β  I mean Richard Sherman is a loud mouth but he doesn't do anything that would make a sponsor not sign him.Β Β

I mean Gronk has a pretty similar reputation as a wild party guy. But he's not on camera pulling some girl's top down.Β Β

There's a line crossed there.Β  I would imagine if the girl had wanted to she could have pressed charges against him.Β Β

I bet the average non Dallas fan doesn't think the same way about this ordeal as you.Β Β

There was no line crossed, the woman said so herself. Theres nothing to press charges over. If a line was crossed, than this would be a different conversation. But thats a pretty stupid hypothetical. I mean, your girl could press charges for rape next time your together... but she wont because she is consenting to the act.Β

And Gronk used to post pictures with him and pornstars naked online. Youre way off base here.Β

Why is that relevant? The average person in general is stupid. Beyond that, where in my post did I say anything about what the fans want? I said what the NFLPA/Zeke want.

The PA is at war with the league right now. A very public war. The league just screwed up big time with how they handled the Zeke case. The PA is doing everything they can to publicly embarrass the league right now.

Ya see I think you as a Dallas fan are blowing this up to be way more egregious than it is.Β  A knucklehead employee of a multi-billion industry did some stupid stuff and was reprimanded for it.Β  There's really nothing more complicated about it than that.Β Β
