Im sure the lady in question wasnt the sole person working this - but she was literally the only person that interviewed the victim. So theres nothing illegal and as adults there is nothing immoral. Really the only grounds for being upset are from a religious or conservative point of view that woman shouldnt show ta ta's in public. Which is a reasonable (albeit sexiest as dudes go topless all the time) stance for people to have. But, think about it, if she lifted up his shirt and showed off pecks/abs, no one would care. And further more - if that baseless accusation would then go on to hurt your future earning potential for at least the foreseeable future (in sponsorship deals)? From a public perspective, sure. Obviously its a bad look. But he is rich, famous and talented. Does he really need to care about public perception? There have been plenty of superstars that are also donkeys. Did he do something "wrong" - no. She was okay with it, he was okay with it, it was legal. I mean - unless you got some reason that I can think of? Outside of public perception, what does it matter? And if its only public perception - than he has a right to give it the middle finger. And he wants the bigger story, so does the NFLPA. They want everyone to know how much the league screwed up. Why would he possibly want people to not talk about it? This is a negotiation tactic for the PA for the next CBA. And if they can win this, it could set a new precedence. ----------------------------------- Edit - and the question still stands - would you give up 1/3 of your salary based on a baseless accusation without a fight?
