NYRaider
When was the last time a team actually won a championship with a roster constructed around a post player? AD and Embiid are very good but you're not going to win a championship if they're your best player.

Those rosters are both loaded with talent outside of their big men.

Even with AD putting up record-setting numbers it's not good enough to win 50 games or to get past the 2nd round of the playoffs. Which is why he is not a superstar. He doesn't elevate his teammates and he doesn't elevate his team.

But we've seen Embiid, even with 3 other All-Star caliber players, get eliminated when he came up against a superstar wing in the postseason. In 19 career playoff games: 20.7 ppg on .432 FG | .294 3FG Against Horford last year: 23.0 ppg on 20 shots per game (44% FG) Against Gasol this year: 17.6 ppg on 13 shots per game (36% FG) Not an opinion. The Sixers were better than the Raptors when Embiid was on the court. By a lot.

His 36% FG sure shows that. +/- is the only positive stat you can find, Marc Gasol clamped that man up. He played 45 minutes in game 7 and had 21 points on 18 shots.
