Incidentally, in the second half of the season:

Montez Sweat: 5.5 sacks, 5 TFL 9 QB hits, 2 forced fumbles

Preston Smith: 5.0 sacks, 5 TFL, 10 QB hits, 0 forced fumbles

Preston had a hot start to the season and Sweat didn’t immediately adjust to pass-rushing at the pro level, but they were basically equally productive from midseason on. I think we’re okay.

And let’s remember he had that 2nd half of the season with Ryan Anderson, not Kerrigan on the other side. Give his kid a season with Chase Young on the other end and look out. There’s lots of pass rushers who need time to adjust to the pro game. Nick Bosa was an anomaly

Sweat is going to feast next year with Young on the opposite side.

Yeah maybe those two can exceed the production we got from Kerrigan & PSmith in 2017 when combined those two went over 20 sacks - I believe the highest sack total tandem in the league.
