He has flat out missed or overthrown wide open receivers, too.

Personally, I do not think he was ready to play when the season opened.

It was a systemic issue, monken, freddie, campin, baker, glad we have turnes it around in 3 weeks

I don't think he was ready to hit long developing routes with an offensive line that struggled early on. He wasn't perfect but he wasn't the cause of our issues and I don't believe for a second that it was because he wasn't prepared.

I remember everyone complaining about that overthrow to OBJ but it was obvious on replay that OBJ was held coming out of his break which is when the ball was thrown so it looked like a bad throw but it was either a good defensive play or DPI depending on how you want to look at it. Our receivers, especially OBJ has been held all year long and that is bad news when you do timing passes. The receiver isn't where he should be and it isn't even his fault but the QB takes the blame on most of those because we usually just see the outcome and not what transpired prior to.

Then again a Ravens fan was complaining about Mark Andrews spending too much time growing a mustache instead of hitting the playbook so I guess it's normal to think your team is unprepared.

How much time does he think it takes to grow a mustache??

I’ve found shaving to be far more time consuming.

Yeah, I am down to once a week and then only because it itches.

Unless, of course, I am business traveling and have to look the part.

I think they overestimated what he was ready to do.

I do not think they prepared him to do much more than he did.

Not having much game-speed play time in the preseason, and none with his starting O could not have helped things any.
