Well, I wonder about his ability to anticipate what the defense will do.  It s a quality hard to define.  For example, can he anticipate man and get Howard wide on a safety.  I just don t know if he is ready For this job yet

Could always call a play for man and a play for zone. Put a guy in motion to figure out which it is. Then audible if needed.

OH I agree...  Right now hes just out there randomly calling plays hoping something sticks.

Calling a play for coverage and a play for pressure is pretty common on third/fourth downs. I don't see why we couldn't do it for man/zone.
