Alright.  All new characters for this.  We’ll call it Horror Franchise Fracas.  There will be multiple characters to choose from.  There can be duplicates.  You will design your own stats.  Will not have AIM.  @Malfatron, or at anybody, could you tag me with the battle bot template so I can work on it at work?  I’ll change it all, but I’d like the template.

How to Play:
In this game you design a robot (using Stats), and you devise a Strategy (by deciding what criteria to chose to attack) then I run it through a battle royale. Last robot alive wins!

Feel free to name your robot!

Stats:
You have fifteen points to spend on the bot.
X indicates the amount you are spending on each stat.

HP: 5 + 2*X
HP falls as the battle royale goes on. If reduced to zero then you're eliminated.

Attack: 1+ X
This is the amount of damage that can be done on a successful hit.

Aim: 1 + X
The higher it is then the greater the chance of scoring a hit.
This will be compared with your opponent's Dodge.

Dodge: X
For each point higher than or equal to your opponent's aim, there will be an additional 10% chance that your opponent will miss.
(For instance, if your opponent's aim is 3, and your dodge is 5, there's an 80% chance your opponent will hit).
(if your opponent's aim is 3 and your dodge is 3, there's a 90% chance your opponent will hit)
(If your opponent's aim is 4 and your dodge is 3, there's a 100% chance your opponent will hit).

NOTE: the percentage chance can't go lower than 70%.

Defense: X
Reduces the impact of being hit by the value you select. It can not reduce something to less than one.

Speed: X
The higher one's speed the earlier in the turn order they get to attack.
The player(s) (if any) who have the highest speed in the round have a 60% chance to get an extra attack at the end of the round.

Strategy:
This is where you'll program your robot as to which OTHER robots it will attack.
The publicly available information for your robot to make choices about are:

* Stats (Attack, Aim, Dodge, Speed, Defense, etc)
* The robot's current HP,
* the attacks made by the robots earlier in the round or in the previous round
*any other discrete information you can think of.

You will basically choosing which robots to attack based on certain information about the robots. You CANNOT decide to attack based on the robot's owners. Your program will ALWAYS attack Alive robots, so you don't need to program that part. You robot will never attack itself, so you don't need to worry about that either. Remember, it's up to you to program the robot to your liking.

Strategy Examples:

Quote:

Strategy: (in order of tiebreakers)
1. Attack any bot that has attacked my bot earlier in the round
1. Attack the bot with the lowest remaining HP
2. Attack the bot with the lowest dodge
3. Attack the bot with the lowest defense

Quote:

1.attack bot with lowest hp
2. if tie, attack one with lower dodge

Quote:

Attack the lowest dodge
if a tie attack lowest HP
if still a tie, highest Attack.

Quote:

Strategy:
1. Attack lowest dodge
2. If tied attack highest aim
3. If tied attack highest attack

Quote:

Code:
1. Attack Robot with lowest dodge.
2. If a tie, attack the Robot with the lowest defense.
3. If a tie, attack the robot with the lowest health.
4. If a tie, randomize target

I got time.  I’ll make this look prettier tomorrow:

25 points to spend (unless character states otherwise).

Health - 5

Attack - 0 (max 10)

Dodge - 0 (maximum of 4)

Defense - 0 (Damage cannot be 0 unless the attacker has 0 for attack).

Speed - 0 (fastest automatically gets a second attack at end of each round).

Special Ability - 0 (each character gets a special ability).  Max 5.

The special ability is unique to each character.  It’s just like a percentage roll.  If it’s a hit, your character’s special ability occurs.

Creeper - Can only attack once every 23 years (so does not get an attack every other round).  If he kills someone, he gains 5 health points.
Special ability: Flight.  Avoids half of whatever damage he takes each round.

Tall Man - Max of 2 dodge.  If first one killer, it was all a dream and game starts over for him with all his health fully restored while all damage to others remains.

Special ability: Summons those creepy damn brown midget monsters, who take one health from everyone remaining.  This is on top of his normal attack.

Pumpkinhead - can only start attacking after first player is dead.  When it can attack, it gets 3 aim (which reduces a player’s dodge).
Special ability - claw swipe, which adds 5 attack.

Pennywise

Special ability: Can choose its target each round (has to be present in chatty to use obviously).

Chucky: Stuck at 5 speed, 5 dodge and cannot change those.  Has 18 other points to spend though (gain of 3).

Special ability: adds 3 to attack that round.

Bruce:

20 HP, 10 attack, 0 dodge, 4 defense, 3 speed, 3 special ability.

Special ability: dodge goes to 5 next time attacked.

 Pazuzu:

Can possess it’s target.  If he does, any damage to Pazuzu that round goes onto who he possessed.  If this special is activated, his target has whatever his dodge is to dodge possession.

Ash: Attack is 1 until he is successfully hit.
Special ability: Fist full of boomstick.

Slimer: cannot attack unless it’s him and another as the final 2.  In a final 2, his attack is only 1.

Health 7, attack 0 until final 2, dodge 9, defense 5, speed 4, special 2.
Special: first special hit and he permanently removes 1 speed from every player.  Every other special hit and he removes 1 HP from every player remaining.

The time is now to ask questions or express concerns.
