Gotta be between Jones and Wiliiams vs Gordon and Ekler. Quick scan of the numbers. They are the leaders of the bunch, the 2 sets in total yds, total tds, yds per touch. What hurts the Chargers duo is all those fumbles and at key moments. But they are also only ones with 1000 rush and rec and thats with Gordon holding out.

Chubb and Hunt and it's not even a little bit close.

I ended up voting Ekeler/Gordon because those two are both always consistent.

Chubb is amazing and Hunt does well. Week to week, Hunt varies. Could be due to scheme.

Either way, IMO, Ekeler/Gordon are both volume monsters and are consistent.

Chubb is CLEARLY the best RB of the group. And IMO Gordon is clearly the worst. I’m easily taking the Browns duo. Hunt’s usage may vary, but he always plays well and he’s still the same RB he was when he led the league in rushing yards as a rookie..

Not even close. They litterally dont even lead the pact in a single combined category, not even 1. They shouldnt even be top 3, let alone number 1... let alone "not a little bit close".

Leading the league in rushing, doesnt = best RB.

Which RB duo is the best, not which RB duo has the best basic stats. You point to the fact that they don't lead in any category in one sentence and then talk about how leading the league in rushing doesn't = best RB.. So stats only matter when you want them to? Also, the fact that you don't count YPC as a relevant stat (which they have LAC beat in by a full yard and everyone else by almost a half a yard) makes absolutely no sense.

Some more notable stats:

Browns duo lead the group in YPC by a wide margin at 5.11.. DAL is closest with 4.65, LAC is furthest with 4.07

Chubb has the largest yards after contact per attempt at 3.11, Kareem is tied for 2nd (with Jacobs) at 2.8

For reference, the duos you called the best.. Ekeler 2.6/Gordon 2.0  //  Jones 1.9/Williams 1.7

Attempts per broken tackle.. Kamara leads the group with an absurd 6 attempts per broken tackle (Jones and Chubb are 2nd and 3rd).. after that the RBs we're discussing ranked:

Aaron Jones: 7.2

Nick Chubb 8.4

Austin Ekeler 10.8

Kareem Hunt 12.7

Jamaal Williams 20.2

Melvin Gordon 23.2 (LOL)

YAC/Catch (all listed catch the ball between 1 yard behind the LOS and 1 yard past the LOS):

Austin Ekeler 10.6 (ridiculous, 2nd behind only Dalvin's 11.2)

Chubb 8.9

Aaron Jones 8.5

Kareem Hunt 7.4

Jamaal Williams 7.1

Melvin Gordon 6.4

I'm fully on board with Ekeler being a stud.. but Melvin isn't. Chubb is easily the best of the group, like I said.. then I think calling Hunt and Ekeler similar is fair.. then Gordon is in a tier of his own for last place. Same goes for the GB duo.. it goes Chubb - Aaron Jones/Kareem Hunt - Jamaal Williams (even further behind than Melvin). The closest duo to the Browns duo is DAL.

well Hunt did miss most of the season but if we are talking talent-wise, sure

True. But since he decided to include Hunt in the discussion I think it's fair to look at the games that he has played. Again, there is some room for interpretation here with the question.. but I don't think the question is "Which team has the best basic stats listed?" It's "which RB duo is the best?" Simply put, which RB combination is the best at football.
