turtle28
So they do listen to me?? Well, not exactly the Assistant GM I was looking for for him but since everything is corporate w/ the Redskins VP of Player Personnel is probably the same thing as Assistant GM in the corporate world. RSkinGM
Same tittle Doug Williams held- till he got promoted down the ladder Seems a lot like a G M to me . In charge of player personnel, college and pro- I guess he and R R will wrestle of the players they like and hopefully come to an agreement . I'm very glad to hear he's staying and promoted . Like this one a lot ! Edited January 13, 2020 by RSkinGM
A TRAIN 89
Seems to be a smart move. No idea how any of this will work, but I like almost everything that has been done this far.
MKnight82
I could have gone either way with this. I think we have drafted reasonably well lately, but I also think that is because we have taken very low risk, lower ceiling players. Jon Allen and Daron Payne are good players, they aren't great players. Its too early to gauge Haskins or Sweat, but neither looked like superstars as rookies. Terry McLaurin is probably the best draft pick we've had in years but we haven't hit on many later round picks. MKnight82
2017 DRAFT (1) Jon Allen - decent starter (2) Ryan Anderson - likely career backup (3) Fabian Moreau - looks like a fringe roster player (4) Samaje Perine - fringe roster player (4) Montae Nicholson - legal troubles, questionable performance on the field, everyone wants him replaced (5) Jeremy Sprinkle - probably best as a #2 or #3 TE (6) Chase Roullier - average starter (6) Robert Davis - not on the roster (7) Josh Harvey Clemons - career backup (7) Josh Holsey - not on the roster 2018 DRAFT (1) Daron Payne - decent starter (2) Derrius Guice - has barely played (3) Geron Christian - we signed a 38 year old FA to start instead of this guy. (4) Troy Apke - hasn't played much, up and down when he's been on the field. (5) Tim Settle - good backup who could probably start (6) Shaun Dion Hamilton - solid backup (7) Greg Stroman - edit - career backup (7) Trey Quinn - not sure why he's on the roster 2018 SUP DRAFT (6) Adonis Alexander - no longer on the team Its too soon on the 2019 draft, but that is a lot of backups and not a lot of star power. Agree here,But we don't know how much of that goes on Him either,we don't know if 2 years ago he was saying Derwin James was the Saftey we needed and Bruce went Payne cause everyone was saying we need a NT. I'd say late round is where scouting guys get more say and over the last 4 year we've been good or great there at times

I agree with most of your post but I do think J Allen and D Payne are better than decent. I believe in 1-2 years in Del Rio’s system they will have shown more improvement. I'm just saying for those that are touting this promotion as a big win, lets pump the brakes a bit.
RSkinGM
Knight - HUH ? Greg Stroman, career ending injury ?. Are you thinking of Kyshoen Jarrett? I haven't read or heard this re. Stroman ?
