CKSteeler
Chipping to Villy's side instead of Hubbards.
August4th
our run game going ghost has killed this offense... what has been our longest run this season? 11 yards?
JLambert58
Nice garbage blocking by Hubbard.
Chieferific
Gotta protect better than that on 3rd. Do we ever leave an RB/TE back to help chip?
MOSteelers56
It looked like McPhee hit Ben low. I hate making this argument, but Brady gets a call there.

CKSteeler
Bell was used to chip there. Simply was helping the LT and not the back-up at RT. I fail to see how this team can't create separation.
MOSteelers56
We need a big defensive play. Pick, 3 and out, or a fumble recovery.

We need a few plays with Conners straight downhill style to offset Bells hesipulluprun. That's what made the run game effective was putting Williams in and giving them a different look. This is where I loved Timmons, because he would fill that hole, and give Shazier a lane to make a play. VWill doesn't and can't do that. Yeah Heyward's struggling to fill those lanes. I'm sure he's not the only one. Shaz needs the steady run stopping presence in there so he can freelance. (a la Polamalu)
MOSteelers56
I think Bell needs to adjust his game. I think defenses are figuring out how to stop the hesitation every time.
