James Posted September 24, 2017 Share Posted September 24, 2017 tl;dr Reaper, Doomfist, Sombra, Widowmaker, and (if enough players) Maximilien are the members of Talon. They're the baddies, they do bad people things. Reaper used to be a good guy but then he died (sort of?) and came back to life and now he's bad. A lot of the Overwatch story comes out of the Omnic Crisis, basically your standard "mankind creates robots who rebel and take over the world" story. But there are good Omics (mostly monks, like Zenyatta), and there are robots that are good guys but aren't Omnics (Orisa). "Overwatch" was basically the Avengers of the post-Omnic world. Did great stuff and people loved them at first, then they were sort of careless and had some scandals/corruption/rogue agents and were officially shut down. There are other characters who aren't a part of "Overwatch" the organization, but they're in the game and connect to the lore in other ways. Some of them are definitely good guys, but others are criminals/more self-serving, so I'm interested to see how they are worked into the game.
