Weird that they are apparently demanding crazy fees for the players that unilaterally terminated their contracts considering those players are never coming back. It was reported they've applied to the FIFA tribunal to get 50m euros from Wolves for Rui Patricio and might be asking for as much as 40m for Gelson Martins. Yeah it's not really "transfer fees" in a traditional sense. They are trying to argue the players broke their contracts illegally and they are due compensation for their assets effectively. Basically their club (now ex-)president sacked most of the team after they lost to Atletico Madrid in the Europa League (but then changed his mind the next morning). Later that month 50 or so ultras broke into the training facility and physically assaulted a bunch of players, and it was rumoured that the president was involved in it, or at least incited it. At least 9 of the clubs players, including multiple Portuguese internationals, used this as a reason to claim that Sporting had provided an unsafe workplace and the players were therefore allowed to unilaterally terminate their contracts.
