It is unlikely that there are any players left that could beat out even Pat Elflein this year. Rick missed the boat again on guard because of how he values things.

I wonder if there are any guards available via trade. The thought of going into the year with Elflein and Dozier the presumptive starters is unsettling.

Hoping for Muti now.

Here's a thought....

By accumulating picks yesterday, we gave ourselves ammo that would entice teams who will want to trade up today, therein allowing us to acquire more future picks. Everyone knows we aren't making all these picks. Everyone knows we probably aren't trading back. So to trade up with us, they have to give up future picks. This year's draft isn't crazy deep, as everyone has said. So we're hitting the picks we are making while also giving ourselves future assets in 2021 picks in what could be a deeper draft.

Me too.

Even if drafted players don't crack the starting lineup this year, the team does still need two guards to start next year.

And if things go really well with whoever they take this year maybe they take the starting role this year. It isn't like they have a very large hill to climb to be better than what the Vikings have on the roster.
