You understand the trade market. Giannis leaving and on a 1 year deal is VERY different than a controlled Jayson Tatum. Cut it out lol We're not talking about 1 year deal Giannis. C'mon. Stay with the conversation.

What is the similar package? Please, enlighten me. I'm not saying its a guarantee. Giannis could re-sign, Giannis could demand his way to LA or GS, Giannis could hate Boston and say he won't sign an extension...but all those things aside, who beats that offer? -OKC could build an offer around SGA and picks -Philadelphia could build an offer around Simmons or Embiid -Denver could build an offer around Murray -Golden State could build an offer around #2 and their future Minnesota 1st -New Orleans could build an offer around Ingram -Phoenix could build an offer around Ayton and Bridges 1 minute ago, beekay414 said: You're basically telling me that Tatum is on an even level as Giannis by saying they can't even ask for him. That, right there, is what's laughable. Would you have laughed at San Antonio if they asked for Giannis a couple years ago? Obviously any trade discussion based around Giannis is because he's leaving Milwaukee.

With a Kawhi extension? No. I wouldn't have done it but I wouldn't have laughed it off either. It's a reasonable ask when you're trading a bonafide superstar with control. Okay but he's not signing an extension with the Bucks. He's agreeing to an extension after the fact with the Celtics. We aren't giving up Tatum. beekay414
Also, Tatum isn't Giannis and Kawhi, at the time, wasn't Giannis. So it's not really comparable. This is more like 2008 LeBron getting shopped. EDIT - 2009/2010 LeBron. Not 2008. Edited September 13, 2020 by beekay414

Tatum's not Durant either lol and I'm a big time Tatum guy. But, no, you don't ******* laugh off an ask for someone like that. That's the point. You tell them no but laughing them off is absurd. It's LeBron/Giannis. Not Anthony Davis.

Like I've said already, thats probably the best offer they realistically get. Jaylen Brown probably the best singular player they're going to be offered. Lakers offer blew Celtics offer out of the water with no Tatum in it.
