We'll see how Jon Scheyer is as a coach but the man is the best recruiter we've seen in recent college basketball history.

Lost Keels and immediately got Proctor to reclassify and landed Grandison to replace him.

Also liked the additions of Kale Catchings 6'6" 220 wing out of Harvard who averaged 9.1 points/4.0 rebounds on 50/36/56 splits. And Ryan Young 6'10" 240 big out of Northwestern who averaged 9.0 points/4.2 rebounds on 56/68 splits.

Not the greatest players but Catchings, Grandison, and Young all bring some veteran experience to the roster.

Having experienced players and quality depth seemed to be K's biggest downfalls in recent years.  I'll be interested to see if Scheyer goes 9-10 deep like a program like Duke should be able to without too much of a talent drop off. Obviously your studs are still playing 30+ a night, but you don't need to have most of them going 35-40 minutes a night all season.

K actually had solid depth he just refused to play a deep rotation, especially as the year went on. We lost a lot of guys to the draft and even with the top recruiting class we had coming in, Scheyer still made it a point to add 4 more players for next year's roster.

I'd probably like to see like a 10 man rotation for us next year...

G - Roach (30) | Blakes (10)

G - Proctor (25) | Schutt (10) | Grandison (5)

F - Whitehead (30) | Mitchell (5) | Grandison (5)

F - Flip (25) | Mitchell (15)

F - Lively (30) | Young (10)

Breaks down to: Roach (30), Lively (30), Whitehead (30), Flip (25), Proctor (25), Mitchell (20), Blakes (10), Schutt (10), Grandison (10), Young (10).

Davis, Love, Black, Nance and Bacot is probably the best starting 5 in the country. Nance was such a huge get. Gives Puff Johnson another year to develop before we get him in that starting stretch 4 role.

Actually, Puff probably starts in Black's spot next year. GG Jackson definitely is starting at the 4 next season.

22-23
RJ Davis | Seth Trimble
Caleb Love | D'Marco Dunn
Leaky Black | Dontrez Styles | Tyler Nickel
Pete Nance | Puff Johnson | Justin McKoy
Armando Bacot | Jalen Washington | Will Shaver

23-24
Seth Trimble | TBD
Simeon Wilcher | D'Marco Dunn
Puff Johnson | Dontrez Styles
GG Jackson | Tyler Nickel
Jalen Washington | Will Shaver

We're in a good spot right now. Assuming Davis and Love go pro after this year, obviously. Just need to solve the back-up PG spot through the portal or even land a starter and give Trimble another year of development.

Haha.  Such a fall for this kid.  His dad should be ashamed.

Yeah basically ruined his development by forcing him to play for his fake HS/AAU team and then steered him away from an elite coach to play for Penny.

I'm surprised Emoni didn't go to the G-League.

Its risky because if he did that and sucks, he doesnt have nay more options.  He needs to mature and take basketball seriously or he is going to go from top prospect to 4 year undrafted college player.

I wonder why he chose Eastern Michigan.
