Never would've happened. They took Irving Fryar first overall the year before, and Stanley Morgan was still young. drew39k
I almost feel like it would be unfair for the Jets fans to play this game. I mean has we just let the fan base make their draft picks instead of bad GMs we could have had Dan Marino and Warren Sapp.
beekay414
The 2017 draft could've been a game changer for the Packers. We needed a CB so I'm not mad with the King pick but we should've had TJ Watt. We were in the market for RB and Kamara was there at our pick in the 2nd and we took Josh Jones. Should've taken Kamara over Jones and then taken Eddie Jackson where we took Montravius Adams. We were also in need of a TEotf and we ended up signing Martellus Bennett. Needless to say, George Kittle in the 4th is a pick every team would've made so that's another revisionist pick but matched a team need so it would've made sense. If we had Watt, Kamara, Jackson and Kittle, we probably win another Super Bowl and Mac is probably still our head coach.

They probably draft Michigan DE Kevin Brooks, DT Darryl Sims, or the Fridge. Then, the Cowboys would have picked next, and they would have taken Jerry. They were ready to take him when SF swooped in.

Never heard that one before. I know that one scout gave him a sixth-round grade, though.

Where does that leave Alex Smith. Does he suffer Aaron Rodgers type fall? Does Rodgers still land in GB or fall even further?) In the WalterFootball.com draft archives, they talked about a trade that Tampa could have made with Miami for the second overall pick if Alex Smith fell to them. Tampa would have received the second overall pick, and the Dolphins would have gotten the fifth overall pick and one of Tampa's second round selections. A few off the top of my head... -Peyton Manning coming out in 97 instead of 98(If the Jets draft him in 97, does Belichick stay as Jets coach instead of going to New England, Also Ryan Leaf most likely to Colts) -Matt Leinart coming out in 2005 instead of 2006(Leinart to 49ers in 2005? Where does that leave Alex Smith. Does he suffer Aaron Rodgers type fall? Does Rodgers still land in GB or fall even further?) -Sam Bradford coming out in 2009 instead of 2010(Bradford to Detroit? Stafford to Rams or Jets? How do the Rams solve their QB woes if they don’t draft a QB in 09) -Andrew Luck coming out in 2011, instead of 2012(Luck to Carolina. Does Cam fall to Titans pick at 8 or does Buffalo or another team take him? Also RG3 lands in Indy.) The domino effect of big time QB prospects deciding not to jump into the draft has always fascinated me. If Luck isn't available in 2012 then there is absolutely no way the Colts part ways with Peyton. Indy gets the haul that the Rams got for RG3 most likely and the Colts run it back with almost two entire drafts worth that year, with Peyton taking every award under the sun. 7DnBrnc53
In 2010, the Panthers were interested in Jimmy Clausen. There was a rumor that they were going to trade their 2010 second-rounder, 2011 first-rounder, and another pick to the Rams for the 33rd overall pick so they could get him. 7DnBrnc53
Apparently, the Cardinals almost traded up in the 1989 draft so they could acquire Deion Sanders:
