It might look a bit different than most of the mocks that you've seen. What do you think? I traded back a bit into the 2022/23 drafts. Came out of it with 5 1st round picks and 6 2nd round picks going into the next two years. I do not know a thing about the 2022/2023 draft crops (hell, I am just starting to wrap my mind around this year's) but I love me picks. I would strongly advocate a somewhat subdued use of this approach if we can add 2-3 solid pieces on D in FA/trades.

I think this club could absolutely benefit from having a potential jet sweep at any moment type player to keep the defense honest. We most certainly have that sort of "Hill" to climb. Darden I was looking at more as a return Specialist, and Terry is just really big and really fast, and would be nice to have someone like that to hang around and learn from chad O'shea then further down the road maybe have more of a bigger roll, and St. Brown was too good to pass there based on what was available

He's got an insane amount of deep speed and has the ability to high point the football and climb the ladder at 6'4. He's the exact thing we don't have both in speed and in size. Plus, we don't need a WR that has to play every snap. We need a WR that can come in and serve a very specific role. Terry's pe
ditchdigger
Traded 2021 1st and 2nd to Chicago, and 2022 1st to Indy. If Kwity and Kyle drop that far...
shoffma1999
I thought this mock was pretty hilarious. We would have seven 1st rounds picks in 2022 and two 2nd rounds picks in 2022. Then in 2023 we would have two 2nds. Not to mention the draft isn't half bad. Edited March 11, 2021 by shoffma1999
bruceb
I could see and would support some variation of this approach coming from the nerds in light of the uncertainty surrounding players who opted out of 2020. Some teams will be gun-shy, and others will be reaching. With the exceptions of the WRs and OLs, this draft class is pretty meh. And for all anyone knows, the players you chose probably will be not much, if any, worse than players we could have chosen with our original picks. Sign me up! So what I'm seeing here is that the PFF engine will basically give away future picks. We get future 1's for moving down from 26 to 29, 29 to 37, 37 to 46, 46 to 52, 52 to 55, and 55 to 60. Most of those deals couldn't get us a future 2nd in reality, let alone a future 1st.

Lol, I know, I started trading down initially because I thought I could still land a player I wanted, and then I just started to see how far I could take it.
