Crazy thing is he may be left off the 1st team all NBA team again with LeBron and Giannis having insane years. So hopefully he gets on one of the all defense teams to make up for it.

They need to get rid of positions on the All-NBA teams.  It shouldn't matter what position you play; if you're 1 of the 5 best players in a given season then you should be rewarded as such.

Agreed, if that was the case then Durant would have made 1st team All NBA the last three years. Instead, he won't make one 1st team all NBA. Last three years these are his stats:

28/8/5/1/1 50/39/90

25/8/5/1/2 54/38/88

26/7/5/1/2 52/40/87

And you're going to tell me he didn't make ONE freaking All NBA team during this stretch? Smh......

I was just listening to the Lowe post and he said that melo and Westbrook have never ran a pnr with Westbrook as the screener. Astounding really. But no surprise with those 2 losers. They’d rather play their own style than try something that would be amazing. Melo jus refuses to run the pnr and Westbrook doesn’t do anything off ball for anyone else.

he's the best defensive player in the nba

Durant’s become a great defender and has the physical tools to be the best, but his IQ and consistency needs to continue to improve. Last season he had too many lapses where he didn’t rotate playing help D, or try to contest shots in the paint when he did. Having watched 3 extremely high IQ defenders for the Warriors in Green, Bogut, and Iguodala, you notice where Durant stands to improve. Those guys think 3 steps ahead defensively and are rarely out of place. With more time in the Warriors system learning from Draymond, Durant has the chance to become the best if he continues to take pride on that end.
