Side note, more teams should just trade their trash players just to see if it'd work out.

Maybe the Vikings can find a team to take on the rest of Cine's guaranteed salary. It was wise of them to trade Booth away for a nothing burger and it would similarly be wise to trade Cine away for a bag of Cheetos or less.

Wright was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the third round (99th overall) of the 2021 NFL draft. The selection was criticized in the media as a reach, while the team passed on other defensive backs like Elijah Molden, Ifeatu Melifonwu, Ambry Thomas and Brandon Stephens.

Wright signed his four-year rookie contract with Dallas on July 21, worth $4.8 million. In Week 9 against the Denver Broncos, he touched a blocked punt after it passed the line of scrimmage, causing the officiating crew to award the ball back to the Broncos with a new set of downs. In Week 10 against the Atlanta Falcons, he recovered a blocked punt for a touchdown.

He played mainly on special teams, finishing the season with seven defensive tackles and two special-teams tackles.

I hope that works out for Booth. Maybe the new guys will be useful to the Vikings.

I am going to assume that Booth wasn't going to make the roster if the team didn't trade him.  If that is the case, it's great the team found a sucka to take Booth's guaranteed salary. Wright has no guaranteed salary so the Vikings can freely cut him -- something they wouldn't have been able to do with Booth.

Perhaps the new guy will be useful to the Vikings, and it would be great if he was, but even if he does nothing for the Vikings the trade is a win for the Vikings.

It was a great move for the Vikings, and honestly both organizations get a chance to can a player they do not like or has not turned out and trade him to another organization and hope a change of situation can improve the player.

Cowboys did that with Kelvin Joseph a few years back, he never has done much since he left and actually has been part of two organizations since leaving the Cowboys in 2022.  Pretty rare that Wright or Booth will be successful but why not do it and like you said Wright is cheaper.   Booth is the first 2nd round pick or higher from the 2022 draft to be traded I believe.

I would be shocked though if the Vikings want another long corner assuming Evans gets hurt again, I would be shocked if they do not go with McGlothern, a younger player and cheaper than Wright.

Cowboys could be in trouble at CB in terms of depth but maybe Carson is good.  They at least have three very solid starters in Bland, Diggs and Lewis in the slot.  Vikings do not have three solid starters.  They play Metellus at nickel because honestly they have no good nickel outside of Murphy and he is there best boundary CB as well.  The tragic death of Jackson, injury to Blackmon have really hurt their CB plans that is for sure.

The problem for Worthy is that he could lose that insane speed if he bulks up.

Jordan Addison is a light receiver, but nowhere near Worthy's level.

That is funny to see I am sure to many, 5.6 million watched that click apparently.

But then there is also this clip....so who really cares if he gets pushed around from time to time if he can get deep and make plays like this.

Brandon Aiyuk’s current potential destinations for 2024 are the 49ers or the Steelers. The Browns are out, even though they wanted to be in. The problem was that Aiyuk didn’t want to be in Cleveland.

Via Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area, Aiyuk put the kibosh on a deal that would have sent Aiyuk to the Browns for receiver Amari Cooper, a second-round pick, and a fifth-round pick.

At the risk of sparking a Boston-style X party, this leak has the 49ers’ fingerprints all over it. There’s no reason for the Browns to make it known they were on the verge of moving Cooper. And there’s no reason for Aiyuk to tell the world he didn’t want to play for the Browns, if he still might play for another team in the AFC North.

This feels like an effort to paint Aiyuk as unreasonable, as the one who prevented a resolution to the situation.

The Patriots and the 49ers agreed to the framework of a trade that would send wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk to New England, but nothing moved forward because Aiyuk did not want to sign an extension with the team.

While a trade could be made without an extension in place, it’s hard to imagine any team dealing for Aiyuk without a commitment beyond the 2024 season. Reporting about the Pats made for Aiyuk has been that it was at a market rate, so Aiyuk’s decision to pass on it suggests he wasn’t interested in everything else the Patriots bring to the table right now.

Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo: “When we start to win games, guys will want to come here. When we establish the culture, the roster, guys will be excited.”

The Jets are not a well run organization.

That's because Aaron Rodgers is not only the QB, but the offensive coordinator, the head coach, and the general manager.  The Faustian agreement they have with Rodgers probably includes Rodgers inheriting the franchise after Woody Johnson dies!! 👹

Shortly after he was cut by the Falcons, quarterback Nathan Rourke went back home to Canada. Where he’ll sign a contract that would be chump change by NFL quarterback standards but is the most lucrative deal in the Canadian Football League.

In addition to a partial salary for finishing this season with the British Columbia Lions, Rourke will get 749,200 Canadian dollars in 2025 and 809,000 Canadian dollars in 2026, according to 3DownNation.com. That’s a little under $600,000 USD for 2025 and a little over $600,000 for 2026.
